Season 4 has been described as coming “Full Circle” and Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, and Hiro Murai have all said that its tonally and conceptually more in-line with Season 1 so I think everyone will get their wish in seeing more of the main cast together often and predominantly.

Great news. I liked most of the side episodes. Especially the first and the reparations episode. Just I wanted to see what happened to people like the Woo-hoo guy who was a play on Chance. That was a huge cliffhanger that didn't really get dived into besides a quick acknowledgement.

I’m on hulu and my dumbass started watching season 1 ep 1…took me 5 minutes to notice lmao

this ended up being a great coincidence bcuz ern discusses the dream during the intro to the series that ties into the first ep of season 3

Just like with Rick & Morty, I'm glad I waited and just binged watched this season. It's a much better experience than waiting a week and wanting shyt to happen "because there's only X episodes left and *insert plot point* hasn't been resolved".

Only bad episode was the finale and it's a shame because I think they could've done much better with Val's character and her struggles.

Gonna binge this later. Just didn't have time before and plus it being on disney now is a pain in the ass.

S1 and 2 is incredible TV. Some people said they dropped the ball but I can't imagine that.

my favorite episode by far was the kevin samuels episode.

the episodes with the main cast were kinda weak. I didn't like the season finale. shyt was dumb.

Very interesting that people in this thread feel the need to defend the reasons they like this season (unprompted defensive stance) with an undertone of “the majority won’t get the genius”

If you genuinely enjoyed the season then just say so, it’s okay 😁

My predictions for Season 4

-We meet Van’s parents or at least her mother. Van’s mother has been mentioned several times throughout the series but never seen. With the finale being Van centric and focusing on her mental health, I think that storyline will be furthe touched upon in season 4 through her relationship with her mother

-There will be a big focus on “black families”. Earn’s mother, father, and Alfred’s mother and father (Kat Williams) will all return and there will be an episode centered flashback style on the complexities of the family dynamic and how it affected Earn and Alfred growing up

-Tracy will return. Earn’s friend from season 1 Swiff will return. The white guy Dave from seasons 1 & 2 will return.

-Earn and Van will end up together.

-Darius will move on from being Alfred’s right hand man and attempt to find his own way in life.

-Alfred won’t quit rapping. Rappers NEVER truly quit.

-
If they were to select an actress, my pick would be Lynn Whitfield. She has the complexities to portray her mother.
