She tried to tell them the shyt wasn't normal and they should leave altogether but they were too busy 'Living their best lives' and started looking for a drink. They wouldn't have even been there for the dinner if they listened to her. At that point you might as well let them play with broken glass and get down to wtf is going on with Van.

Very touching episode. Depression manifests itself in so many ways. Thought Vans character arc was done in an honest way.
She tried “looking out” for them all SEVERAL TIMES throughout the episode and every time she raised concerns they rebuffed her on some “we want to have a good time” steeze.
Some people learn the easy way and some learn the fried hand way

The guy on the boat and who offed himself on the reparations episode.
His name was Earnest. My guess is the universes came together.
But this episode was trash. I feel it was saying that Van was stuck in between the two universes, where she a sista from Atlanta and a Parisian white heavy, but it didn’t work. Van was definitely going through some mental issues as was alluded to the entire season, but it didn’t work.
