When its come down to most things business related Earn has had Alfred’s back. Thats why Al retained his services in the season 2 finale instead of firing him. Because as he puts it Earn “gives a fukk” and has since the beginning. Earn wouldn’t straight up lie to Alfred about who owns the Masters, especially since that would be easy for Al himself to find out if he really wanted. Also this season has gone to great lengths to show that Earn has improved leaps and bounds as Alfred’s manager. This is definitely NOT the same Earn from seasons 1 & 2

Remember, this season’s theme is that of a “Black Fairy Tale”, meaning that it’ll more than likely end on a brighter note than season 2 did. Every episode outside of “Cancer Attack” ends with some sort of victory or morale boost for the main characters, so to tear all of that down with Earn screwing Al out of his Masters (the number ONE triumph for any recording artist) would be counterproductive to the season’s stated thesis.

Really good episode. Felt like a continuation or a part 2 of The Woods from last season.

Some of the stuff Lorraine said had you looking at Darius sideways a lil bit and I’m glad Earn was able to ease Paperboi mind in the end. I’ve enjoyed this little departure this season but I really hope the whole last season isn’t all in Europe. Only two episodes left this season and I hope at least one gives us more Van

Dope episode.
  • So Darius is Al's security? I always wondered what his role was supposed to be.
  • Which rappers are salty after getting called out for wearing women's clothes & partaking in non-Harlem activities?
  • Liam Neesons in Cancel Club?
  • Never overhand throw a baby!
  • Paper Boi's trip must've started as soon as he left the coffee shop. Also,
  • Earn's a real one.
  • Where's Van?
  • This episode definitely felt like The Woods. Al needs to stop going places solo.

TYRONE GA!
It was well written and I guess I get what he was TRYING to do but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. This man went out LOOKING for an innocent black man to kill as “revenge” for a friend. fukk Liam Neeson.

The ending was dope though.

I didn't see the cameo as giving Liam a pass. That line he uttered at the end hit like a mufukka. Again tieing into a lot of shyt during this season of the show.

Question is....did he learn? :patrice:

Yeah, I didn't see it as a pass either.

Dude said he still hated black people and because he's white he didn't have to learn a lesson if he didn't want to. He said some fukked up shyt about black people, took the hit, and things went back to normal.

The only lesson he learned was not to voice his hatred of black people in public. He didn't care enough to learn why that was wrong because he didn't want to.

Considering "the woods" is my favorite episode of this entire series....this episode might be Number 2.....

Both episodes have paper boi alone.......
Being guided by a "woman"......that isn't his ideal chick because she's mouthy and pushy, but "she" still provides insight and wisdom into his current predicament......
Has a trippy/supernatural experience that forces him to take a hard look at his surroundings, his relationships and his future...

Gotta peep this episode again....
