When white people watch this, I wonder if they know they’re being mocked and made fun of.
I’m a white guy and yes, it’s flagrantly obvious. It’s been apparent since the season 1 dinner party. I feel like you have to be a special kind of tone deaf to not pick that up.

Definitely the best episode of the season:ehh: with that said Atlanta has to put the focus back on what made it amazing, African Americans and our experiences.Im tired of them centering the show around cacs, it seems they’re begging for acceptance, like you can shame the devil and who gives a fukk about Jollof rice , that bullshyt isn’t our concern:camby:
This season hasn’t been nearly as deep and cerebral as it thinks, or posters are making it out to be. Again, this episode was better and I hope it’s a sign the ship is righting itself. This is still one of my favorite shows ,I just want it to recapture it’s soul and greatness.
Begging for acceptance from who exactly?

This season it seems like cacs. Like they’re trying to show them how racist they are,but still make it bland to suit their palatability:francis: past season have been able to show their racism without making the show about them, it feels like this season was written by new blacks and cacs:yeshrug:

Bro wtf are you talking about? In this season we have seen white people:

-Adopt and murder 4/5 foster kids (and fukk, that really happened only there were no survivors)
-RIP Paper Boi off out of $40K won at a poker table
-Unleash a massive interrogation on some unsuspecting weirdo by secretly stealing Paper Boi’s phone
-Make a “Central Park 5” jersey
-Ruthlessly shut down and replace a local Nigerian restaurant

Are we even watching the same show?

Are we:gucci: if any of these topics were in the first two seasons they would have been witty, and funny while making us sad. This season seems to be made by cacs or emo Shea-butters.

im asking you this not to start a diaspora war,but to try to understand why we may see this season different. Are you African American, with both parents born here?

Episode after will be the first of the season written by Donald

Penultimate episode is written AND directed by Donald (for some reason I think this is the “Van” episode.

Season finale directed by Donald and written by long time staff writer Stephani Robinson.

Great episode

I could have had a whole hour of that. I love the absurdity, but the realness of things.

On the real are there other big-budget black shows that can get these kinda topics on screen through the backdoor in the framework of it being a show about a rapper?

The cacs come out looking like complete garbage in damn near every episode this season. Season 3 has been meaner to white people more than any project Donald Glover has ever been apart of In my opinion. The show is still written by black people and about black characters. So agree to disagree I guess.

The criticism of this season is weird to me, because they been doing the same thing in both seasons 1 & 2, but the ONLY significant difference is where seasons 1 & 2 mostly exposing everything that goes on within the BLACK community, this season is it mostly exposing how these white folks are devils in every level. It's wild that the same people who criticized on this season like this episode which MOSTLY a criticism of black activists.

It just seems to me that some of y'all are too conditioned to reject anything that a criticism about these DEVILS.
