I didn't need all those GPU cores. I just made sure to slightly upgrade the CPU in the pro to add the additional 2 cores.

I got 32GB RAM and the 1TB storage. I should also be good for 4-5 years easily.

I had a 2017 i7 MBP, but the battery went bad. I ended up selling it and getting a MBP in november. at least we can replace the batteries on this one.

I just got a M1 Pro and that event made me feel like it was garbage lol. That M1 Ultra is ridiculous but I'll never need this kind of power myself.

I am not in the market for another computer, but that jump from 2K to 4K is staggering on the mac studio.

but if I'm paying 2K, I'd rather have the MPB since it's portable and extremely powerful in its own right.
