I wouldn't say this is the end for Apple but it does seem like as far as phones are concerned there isn't too much innovation. This is an industry wide thing not just Apple.

I still have my Macbook Air from 2013 and outside of the battery, it's chugging along pretty well.

I'll probably go for the iPhone 8+ mid next year. Buy it out cash as well.

Phones are going the way of the cars. People essentially leasing the phones for a year then trading them in.

I'll just buy a brand new two year old model and hold it until it stops working. Only thing that's tripping me up about this 6s is the battery life. I always have to keep a charger near by and keep my low power mode on all day.
