How does preordering on your phone work? Do they just ship it to your local apple store for pick up if you are trading in towards it?

Unless they’ve changed something from when I last preordered (2016), when you successfully preorder you basically reserve the device you want (model,!color, storage, carrier, etc.) tell them a few details (e.g. if you want to trade your phone in) and they hold your selected device for you to come pick up at a specified time. Once you come in, everything is finalized and you’re good to pay and go.

Last time I reserved, I was in and out of the store in like 10 minutes

You can do that or a regular delivery, a prepaid return label should come in the shipping box and you can just use it to ship your old phone to them.

yeah. Carriers always go up early so I secure a Tmobile one to be safe if I cant get the Apple Sim Unlocked. This was an easy ass buy, so I think I'm going to flip my XS Max because I think the value is still gonna hold well on that.
