One attack in New York that involved 5 heroes and didn't last long. That isn't a big enough reason to drop everything (and by everything I mean forget about saving Janet, who's been gone for 30 years) and go to NY.

Another thing y'all forgetting is that they were fugitives and Scott was on house arrest. So how the fukk are they getting to NY besides driving? nikkas woulda got snapped while they was driving thru Ohio

The movie did have another yellow jacket.
How is it cliche or similiar to YellowJacket if they made her more remorseful and less murdery instead of the professor?
My problem is that they did make her like yellowjacket, with everything from being mentally unstable down to wanting to go after antmans kid to lure antman.
They did take the cliched path for 90% of the movie.

Yellow Jacket was a psycho ready to kill for another piece of technology

Ava wasn't anything like him. She was unstable because she was in pain and wanted it to stop. Her being a soldier for shield didn't help her mentality either.

She was literally the exact same. and Giving her a different reason for being unstable doesn't do enough make the characters different.
How are you going to complain about things being too samey and boring while also caping for something that was samey and boring? They made minor changes, female instead of male, associated with shield instead of hydra, unstable because of quantum energy explosions instead of a suit complications. Unsuccessfully kidnaps daughter due to an ultimatum from goliath instead of intervention from Antman. Wears a suit inspired by moths instead of yellow jackets And you were like, wow this character is so different

The reasoning behind her being unstable doesn't make her the same as yellow jacket, it makes her more sympathetic and less boring since she never went as far as he did especially when her own life was on the line. She may have considered it but thinking about it doing something bad makes you the same as someone as YJ who we all know wouldn't have listened to Goliath for shyt and went to kill Cassie like he was gonna do in the first movie.

Even if time did fly by he wasn't an official Avenger so he couldn't have gone to NY and helped. He'd just end up bring a criminal again and this time with a 20 years minimum on the Raft. That's why the route they went with was better because at least he's gonna be helping in a time where the world has no choice but to seek help from characters like him.

Why would Hank try to help? The Avengers are run by Tony Stark. He hates them and as far as anyone was concerned it was your typical alien invasion, so they probably figured the Avengers were holding it down. Even after Tony went missing the government was still ready to throw Caps team in prison as soon as they entered the country, so why would Scott jeopardize his freedom

Why would Hank try to help? The Avengers are run by Tony Stark. He hates them and as far as anyone was concerned it was your typical alien invasion, so they probably figured the Avengers were holding it down. Even after Tony went missing the government was still ready to throw Caps team in prison as soon as they entered the country, so why would Scott jeopardize his freedom
