I think the stock s3 is good the way it is. if I root it then I lose all the motion like palm swipe, put the phone face down to silence

You always get that warning until you check the unknown sources toggle.

Yes, it's safe. It's the one I downloaded from the market when it was still available.

You don't lose any features due to rooting the phone. Root just allows access to the root directory of your phone. Now if you flash a custom rom you may lose features if it is not implemented on the new rom.

No. The atrix hd bootloader is locked. You'll be stuck on ICS until Motorola updates it.
