there used to be a work around but it wasnt worth it

dunno if it still works but basically you need a TMO my fave plan , where you my fav contacts basically uses no minutes ,so you set your GV # as one of your my fav contacts, that's all
after that when someone calls your GV # the call is forwards to your phone and since your GV # is one of ur my fave. contacts that call = free

I downloaded the 9/25 nightly but I'm scared of the low volume bug. Everything seems to be working and I guess battery life has been an issue for some.
