With all due respect, my brehs....

It was luck.

Lucky shyt happens. And it's not the Atlantic. It's a sea between land and a barrier island. It is low energy water that get sucked out in and out of the tide.

It took it over a day to wash upon land.

....STILL not feelin' it, because it assume that there was no OTHER place for the boat to drift to. I just think it's a huge assumption to make, even though I get that it needed to happen for the movie's sake.

I seriously almost snapped on this 13 year old Indian kid and his family. Like just shut the fukk UP!!!!! THE GODDAMN MOVIE IS CALLED A QUIET PLACE FOR fukkSAKE. The only thing that prevents me is I don't want to be rude to an entire family but I've never been closer than telling someone to shut the fukk up. I wish i had the type of personality that could, a part of me thinks saying something wouldn't even help anyway.
Nah, you just don't wanna get fukked up is the thing :umad:

Well of that doesn't happen then the only black person in this series doesn't get to die. :russ:

I agree, it’s a little too far fetched, but I do like that it kinda mirrors how they got to Earth in the first place by sheer dumb luck.

They should of conveyed better why they needed to leave the farm instead of rebuilding it. They had a fixable situation and defense from the aliens. I know they didn't want to stay because of John's death, but from a sense of survivalism... You don't just get up and leave overnight with barely any supplies while barefoot and all.

It's kind of refreshing doesn't go the structuralism route that's comes with this genre. I guess seeing them suffer for 30 minutes before deciding to leave is unnecessary in John's opinion of the story
That’s exactly what I thought, they still had jars of food and everything.

It was alright to me. Felt like more of the same, but without the newness and surprise factor of the first. At the end of this one things are pretty much the exact way they were at the end of the first. There was some good suspense in there though, and like the first one, much of it made by a baby that never should have existed in the first place:snoop:

There was just a tad bit of light shed
with learning they can't swim, which wasn't a shock to me based on their bodies. Seeing an explosion in the sky before they popped up really doesn't explain things about their origin either

And even though it makes for a good scenes, logically speaking why are groups of survivors running and screaming when these things pop up? If you made it this long you should be smart enough to know to just stfu. You in an open field, just lay down and blend into the environment until they leave:childplease:

Caught this at the drive-in and I really enjoyed this movie! The opening scene was fantastic! My only issue is that this movie felt like a filler. I know they’re going to make a trilogy but this felt kind of empty. Also I had how they under utilized Dimjon Hounsou’s character.

fukked with it. Nice story about kids learning to fend for themselves and taking over for the parent. It did what a good sequel should by expanding the world and adding more depth to established characters, and still having some dope scares. One thing I love about both movies is the way they play with sound and really utilize every bit of filmmaking in the toolbox.

Don't like what they did with Dimjon at all but everything else around it worked for me so I can't dock it too many points for that. Perfect flick to see in a theater

Good movie. Felt good to be in the theaters again.

I just didn't like that one part at the garage. Didn't make sense to let Ole boy go out like that.
Breh shyt was so predictable. Seeing the garage half open you knew he was about to get fukked up. shyt was good but more like a streaming movie

Watched it today, and half of my party thought it was trash.:francis:

I liked it though, gave me strong The Last of Us vibes. I enjoy this take on an alien invasion, such a larger than life event took place, but the way it all happened allows for smaller stories to be told, and yet still have a huge impact on their world.
Really solid movie, excited for Part III.
Haha me and my girl watched it today and she kept commenting of how much it felt like last of us. The monsters def felt inspired by clickers

Yea I’m with you on this one, I couldn’t get past how little sense it made that.,.

That the alien apparently waited around overnight until it realized there were folks around to kill. Or maybe we’re supposed to think it’s hearing was muffled by the water?? But either way I have a hard time buying in to that thing sitting quietly for hours "

Like the first movie it's a movie of good standalone scenes but you need to turn off your brain. I enjoyed in the moment but as soon as it finished I was like "but hey... why did they...?" and so on. It's a short movie but somehow it's bloated. It's like the opening scene was just made to make the trailers have action. I didn't care for sequel setup.
