Robert Selah got fired. Remember when he passed on our gig. That was the best thing to happen to this franchise but it didn’t feel that way at the time :whew:

I do think he’s a great coordinator. If Glenn gets a job, I’d love to have him as a replacement.

Remember when the Jets and Lions coaching staffs handled the Shrine Game in 2021 during the draft process, and there were multiple reports that Saleh ran practices like a professional while Campbell ran them like a clown.
:mjlol:

Saleh is a great defensive mind but this is gonna be used as an example of why teams shouldn't hire DCs to be head coach, which will likely impact Aaron Glenn.

I forgot all about that.

The real issue is the owner forcing Nathaniel hacket on Saleh. Aaron Rogers, Zach Wilson, annd Mike White are major players in his downfall too, but no one will tell these stories.

Parsons out, no Lawrence or Kneeland either. Ragnow back. Cowboys have been getting diced all season by good run games and I'd expect the same Sunday.

One thing I will say....the NFC looks wide open now. I'm not buying Minnesota until they pop us, sorry lol. The Lions didn't have any issues against Flores' scheme last season and while it's more effective this season I just can't buy this is real. If they prove me wrong I'll admit it obviously.

Niners look bad. Seattle will be fine IMO, just need to get healthy. Green Bay looks average. Common theme with a lot of teams is health though, which gets us to Detroit. We've already taken some pretty big losses in Davenport (for the season) and Barnes (multiple games). Seems like we dodged a bullet with Ragnow. Iffy is still not ready and will miss half the season (again). Sucks for him, this was supposed to be a big contract year for him. I have a feeling it's his last season with the Lions.

Potential trades....I don't expect any big moves BUT with Cincy imploding I'd imagine Trey Hendrickson will be available at the deadline. Cincy's cheap ass owner doesn't want to pay anyone. He fits what the Lions want opposite Hutch plus he played for the Saints when Campbell and Glenn were coaching there.
booked marked

Let's go.

Speaking of which...how come you don't believe in your squad? I still think the Packers are better than the Vikings overall.
Ive always said since last season that the 2025 season will be our SB run. I think we narrowly miss the playoffs. Beating on crap teams (colts, titans and Rams) while losing to contending teams (Eagles and Vikings) is not gonna get u far

Adds a couple years onto his deal, not much more guaranteed money. I like it.

Besides juggling questions on who do you re-sign (Hutch, Alim) and who do you not re-sign (Kerby? Barnes? Iffy?) the biggest challenge for Holmes going forward is gonna be reinforcing the o-line. It's what makes everything work, from the run game to Goff. Holmes knocked it out the park signing Zeitler, who has been a top ten RT so far this season but it's a one year deal. Ragnow stacks up injuries every season. Glasgow is probably gone after next season. Decker has a couple years left on his new deal. The only long term solution we have is Penei. Restocking this o-line is probably gonna be what determines whether this SB window extends or crashes shut.

Which is why he better push some chips in this trade deadline and go for it this season. Teams do not sustain long Super Bowl windows without an elite QB.
