Being an undocumented immigrants is enough to get you deported. There's no requirement for a federal border crossing misdemeanor to initiate that process.

She got beat by a reality tv star who ran a campaign trolling on his twitter account. Nobody gave Trump a chance. No polls, no pundits (even conservative pundits, the non-extreme ones), they all thought he was gonna lose big time. He never should have won.
But everybody underestimated the blue collar folks who voted for Obama who turned out to be sexist, and frankly, the black community in key districts who also couldn't see a women as their president.
While I agree that a women president is not out of the question, i think people are underestimating how sexist majority of this country is.
That's where likability comes into play, two same positions, yet because one is more likable than the other, people will support them.
Low key Biden is banking on voters like that being a solid portion of the primary and general election.

What do you think should happen at the border to people caught at the border entering the country illegally?
I've already said I was fine with the previous directives with catch and release and that we should appoint more judges to get through the backlogs and appoint public defenders since those with public defenders returned to immigration court at a rate around 90%.
What I don't support is internment camps, indefinite detention, and family separation as a policy of deterrence.
