No, I honestly probably would not want that. It would not make sense because no team ever gets a BYE in the first round anyways.

I just want the playoffs to start already.

With a BYE, those teams would essentially advance to the conference semi finals? Is that correct?

The first round is basically a play-in to get to the Round of 16. The teams that get a bye are going to be playing each other for seeding.
