Because he's most similar to Michael Vick. The same reason why people compared Cam to Big Ben. Because they have playing similarities.

I don't see Derek Carr or Stafford in terms of passing, better at progressions/field vision but no where near as good at the line as Stafford out of college, in fact, not close and no where near the arm. Carr, I can see some similarities. Not quite the same passer as Carr. Carr was much more accurate but all else aside, I see similarities. I felt Carr was drafted where I graded him, 2nd round but honestly, he's not as good as some of these guys in this class. Not the top 5-6 guys. There is a gap between him and Jackson. I can see him and Randolph being on the same level. Jackson's legs really set him apart but even as just a pocket passer. Jackson is a 3rd-4rd round grade due to his footwork, field vision, IQ, and pocket mobility. With those legs, you got a top tier talent but the question is longevity and system fit with him. Not so much personnel like with Rosen or coaching style like with Josh Allen.

Thing is he’s not that similar to Vick. He’s just a gamebreaker on the ground. Vick didn’t keep his eyes down the field like Jackson does now until his Philly days. Comparing them based on that is like comparing Joel Embiid to Purvis Ellison because they were both big men who shoot the 3. You question Jackson’s longevity but Rosen missed like half his games the last two years and is wearing a big ass knee brace in most of the games he did play in. You question Jackson’s system fit but Allen is flat out inaccurate. The Stafford/Carr comparisons aren’t necessarily on the nose but the point is he would be seen as that type of prospect if he ran a 4.8 instead of a 4.4 and his name was Luke instead of Lamar. If you(or anyone) see him as a late 1st/2nd rounder then that’s fine, but don’t downplay his arm talent and focusing almost exclusively on his legs to do it.

How is he not like Vick.

Very fast- Similar
Explosive
Great acceleration
Plus Arm
Top end elusiveness
Lighting quick feet

He is most similar to Vick in terms of plus or minus.

Even some of his weaknesses is similar.

Overall Accuracy
Accuracy v. the blitz
Passing Inconsistency (Streaky)

Now Vick has more weaknesses out of college but all QB's back then had more weaknesses out of college than players today due to things like better coaching, passing schools, passing coaches, passing camps, 7/7, etc.

You are an idiot to compare Purvis Ellison to Joel Embiid. The comparison for Embiid is clearly Hakeem Olajuwon. Now, they aren't the same but they have a lot of similarities. I don't see why you are being a stupid ass nikka for? Everyone can clearly see this comparison. Even Vick and Jackson.

Jackson reminds me a lot of Mahommes from last year actually. Huge arm with the most potential of any QB in the draft, if someone can help polish his mechanics and footwork he has a chance with how athletic he is. He will just have to go to the right team that knows how to use him.
I don't see it at all. Mahommes strengths are mainly based on his timing, arm strength, subtle mobility, and above average accuracy.

While Jackson has good footwork and mechanics. He just has the Vick issue of moving his feet too fast and not getting set. He doesn't have the DeShaun or Mahommes issue. I don't see it. Mahommes can play in many systems, he's just raw. But his passing potential is high, especially in that quick hitting RPOs. So while he is a system fit, any team could have drafted him and used him as a backup at the least and a starter with the right personnel. Jackson isn't seen in the same light. He's not the same type of passer.

5 outta 6 similarities you listed mostly have to do with running the ball. The weaknesses you listed are generic as fukk. The comparison is there, it’s just lazy as hell. If you could give me a comparison breakdown that isn’t centered around them as runners then I could respect it but you can’t. nikkas not the same height, not the same build, don’t run the same, don’t play the position the same. You just see a nikka playing QB running with the ball who isn’t a giant(Newton) or a midget(Wilson) so he must be Vick. Hell, you could say he’s Randall Cunningham and I could co-sign that. If you’re gonna look at what Embiid does most(play in the post) and base your comparisons there as opposed to the additional flare to his game(outside shooting) then do the same with Jackson throwing the ball and not just running with it.

I’ve already broken down how dumb your argument is nikka. I’ll see you in the Hawks thread but you can shut the fukk up talking football now :camby:

I don't think Donte Jackson is a 1st rounder I hope the team picking him is not expecting him to be a #1 corner. He's a nickel back in the NFL

We'll see if he's good. I'm not really high on this WR class. Ridley and James Washington don't impress me, I think Christian Kirk can be a great slot receiver, im really high on DJ Chark but he slight frame scares me a lil
