I guess, but he was 35 years old, came for one season, had the worst season of his career since his rookie year, and then didn't even play in the NBA the next season.

Based solely on name power? Sure. But was he a top free agent in 1995? I'd say prob not at that point in his career.

That was...unnecessary breh:mjcry:

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Nah Boston is in position to win in 2 years that contracts prevents them from signing an actual good max player

You're a moron. Watch games.

Horford has serious value to our team and I'd rather spend our money on max guys than give 15-20 million to mozgov crabbe turner Noah mahimi etc etc

Horford's game is not athleticism based so he will age fine with the contract

Everyone knocks Danny for not doing anything, but fail to realize he hasn't picked up shyt contracts like several other teams have.

Mozgov, Noah, Evan Turner, Greg Monroe.
I mean, yeah Celtics maxed Horford, but you'd take Horford over those players every time I think.

If Danny staying away from bad contracts is the reason we haven't made any big trades yet, I'm more than fine with that.

Side note, giving IT a max contract will be a bad contract and something I'm not on board with. I'd let him walk personally.
danny is a lucky GM, he is not a top tier GM

He makes one job great but cant finish the rest. Just like the celtics big three, once KG went down, danny never brought in another legit rebounder. Them jermaine, rasheed and shaq signings were garbage

And right now once again danny gets rewarded with a championship contender package in pretty much 3 top 3 draft picks. And what he does? Goes for the safest bet by stockpiling the assets. Now the teams that want to trade with danny are asking for a higher price plus they know this GM is all about trying to make lopsided trades.

I get it they didnt want boogie cousins because of the attitude, but the way bulls shipped butler to minny it was all boston's fault, this was the guy they needed to get.

He thought he was very smart having competitive team and drafting players with high picks, now danny will be forced to sign bad contracts because his team went to the conference finals. Because of IT the celtics skipped easily the best talent in Fultz. In maybe two years IT will be a horrible contracts as he is not going to continue the same success he had this season.

He got so many picks but you can only bring 12 players to the game

It got us a division title and to the conference finals. Something every other team in the east would have wanted I'd think, but unlike them we have all these top 5 picks coming too!!!

u either win it all or lose

1 side of horfords game is not based on athleticism

the other side has already slipped and its only downhill from here, its especially will get worse because boston will be forced to play small ball with their 47 forwards

The trade is already agreed to. They just can't actually pull the trigger until after they use their cap space.

Not woj or or any of the few national guys who breaks these things has mentioned a deal being in place. Until then I'm skeptical
