I wonder if they'd trade Wiggins.I think LaVine is underrated, kid practically already a 20 point scorer, an extremely high level athlete, and efficient high volume three point shooter and only 22 years old. I don't think the ACL tear is that worrisome because guys have come back strong from it, and retained athleticism.
Butler and Wiggins are iffy from three, 35% may be league average but you don't want two league average shooting wings who don't take threes on volume, who operate on the same spots on the floor, and rely on getting to the line. Also, last year was these guys career year in terms of three point shooting, Butler is at 33% for his career. They still have Rubio at point who they are trying to trade and they're going after D-Rose who is not a threat at all from 3 at this point. Thibs just doesn't seem to understand the concept of spacing on offense going back to Chicago.
I'm trying to think of teams that would make sense in a Wiggins trade, but I'm kinda drawing a blank. He's not good enough to get Porzingis, but he's probably too talented to trade him to the Nuggets for Gary Harris, Will Barton and maybe one more guy. Allen Crabbe is a better fit with Jimmy and Towns, but Minny would have to get more back from Portland and that Crabbe contract is too much.
