That's the thing, both sides had to compromise. Ainge had no choice but to wait in order to make Hayward + PG happen. Indiana couldn't afford to wait in fear that other offers would vanish and Boston would back out as well if they missed on Hayward.

I can't knock Boston for this one.
This is not a one time thing with Ainge, that is why ppl are criticizing hard and he deserves it even if he is in the right

That implies that the OKC offer was the best one and more than enough writers are saying that it was far from that.

Ainge should've offered enough, then offered what he needed to in order for Indy to sit fukking still.

He didn't, so now Boston going another year hungry and about to get that culo blasted by the Cavs again
if hayward doesnt go there

the cipher will be complete :banderas:

his ass should get crucified but the media will cover for him

its sickening as a Cavs fan knowing we need talent and we go out and sign 35 year old Jose Calderon.

I'm sure you'll enjoy his play :mjpls:

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Indiana went back to Boston before the OKC trade, but Boston wasn't ready.. Indiana wanted Smart, crowder, multiple picks - Woj :mjlol::mjlol:

Smart and crowder combined tops that offer, especially when you consider smart and crowder combined is barely half oladipo's salary per year

But it's whatever if he truly was a rental
and dead set on LA it's not worth the risk

fukk man minny needs milsapp this is bad they cant compete with gs

When will yall nikkas learn, you can't beat Golden State by trying to be like them. You have to be different. You gotta play slow it down, physical, low post basketball. To do that, Minnesota needs to have Towns at PF and Wiggins at SG. They need to be a team that pays inside out. Not a team that plays fast and shoots 3s. Getting Milsap would have had the Wolves looking like an inferior version of Golden State.

Wolves need to get a real center like JaVale McGee. They need to move Towns to PF. They need to play an offense focused on getting post touches to Towns and Wiggins against their small opponents. Both guys should have big time advantages on offense from a physical point of view.

The way for the Wolves to beat the Warriors is to be different from them. Not to try and be like them.

jrue holiday warrants a max yet jeff teague gets just 57m :deadrose:

Jrue had all the leverage with New Orleans

Because their cap was so high if they didn't sign him it's not like they could sign a decent replacement it was Jrue or nothing

But yeah, I probably prefer Teague over Holiday just based on durability... now that you factor in salaries it's not even close

Why do u say that? Minny got the 3 best players and coach between the teams

As of now, the Wolves haven't solved their biggest problem. DEFENSE. They still lack a competent rim protector. They need a player like JaVale McGee to make the cypher complete. I also heard they were looking at Ekpe Udoh (who currently plays overseas). I would prefer JaVale McGee but any decent rim protector will do so they can move Towns to PF.

Karl-Anthony Towns is not a center. The sooner the Wolves can move him to PF which is his natural position the better. And the sooner they can get a legit rim protecting center, they will be a serious contender in the West.

And they won't be able to shoot for shyt. I hate Rubio, but Teague is trash too.

Minnesota's problem was NEVER talent. They couldn't defend, they ran their players into the floor, and they were never on the same page. I think Thibs is a trash coach and would've been fired had he not been given such a massive deal. Its just really hard for me to see Jimmy Butler turning all of this around while Thibs is already dreaming of ways to run him into the ground like he does all of his players.

Also.... Denver is actually really fukking good - and they basically play without a PG. Wouldn't take much at all for them to continue their improvement. Minnesota? They gotta learn how to play period.

Co-sign. So far the Wolves have yet to solve their biggest issue which as you point out was defense. Thibs is still a horrible coach with no sense of offensive strategy. Losing Rubio was a positive move in and of itself. The guy was so bad. Minnesota was actually better off last year when Tyus Jones played. If Teague can just hit some open shots and try on defense, he'll be a huge upgrade.

The Wolves need to add a guy who can protect the rim. I've been saying JaVale McGee for the longest time. And as you said they don't really need more talent. What they needed was the right role players. So far they haven't added those right role players.
