If they gave Indy an offer worth waiting on, they probably would've waited
Nah, seems like Pritchard neither wanted to deal PG within the East, or to LA where he wanted to go. I'm all for knocking Ainge (who's living off the glory of lopsided trades like the minny KG one and Brooklyn heist) but i can't knock him for this one.

He didn't even have a real deal done, but he out here talking about he's gonna get PG AND Hayward?

One of these days IT and Stevens are gonna catch him in the parking lot and break his legs for this kinda shyt

Pritchard would have done it if Ainge asked, if your theory was true he wouldnt have went to Ainge before dealing to OKC. He just didn't want to wait because Ainge is the king of lowballing..and if Celtics struck out on Hayward, Ainge wouldnt have made it. Still a bad deal for Pritchard though and pretty sure he could have got a better deal

That's the thing, both sides had to compromise. Ainge had no choice but to wait in order to make Hayward + PG happen. Indiana couldn't afford to wait in fear that other offers would vanish and Boston would back out as well if they missed on Hayward.

I can't knock Boston for this one.

its sickening as a Cavs fan knowing we need talent and we go out and sign 35 year old Jose Calderon.

they have a lot of talent.....but what can you do after the stunt KD pulled ? you can say oh well they shouldnt have overpaid thompson or whatever, but they did win a title so obviously it was money well spent. you cant predict a top player p*ssying out like that. if that doesnt happen they wouldnt even be looking to make any major moves to the roster. they are right there with everyone else.

That implies that the OKC offer was the best one and more than enough writers are saying that it was far from that.

Ainge should've offered enough, then offered what he needed to in order for Indy to sit fukking still.

He didn't, so now Boston going another year hungry and about to get that culo blasted by the Cavs again
