Then what do you think they should have done? Pay Waiters? C.J. Miles? :what:

Or let me guess, Kyle Lowry? That'll make them contenders for sure. :skip:
Why couldn't they have paid Waiters?

I'm not suggesting ideas for them to win now, but Redikk doesn't put them in that position either and he costs a dikk ton

They not going to match the max....Teams ain't stupid. They know he played for that contract he's going to pull a Bazemore and come back down to earth. He ain't committed. Wizards know he cant get 120m on the market so they ain't giving him that. The best he can prob get is 60m and the wizards will match that. Anything over that then its :camby:have fun in brooklyn with the snitch.

That's too much. He doesn't deserve that at all. He ain't beating out Walker and he ain't beating out Weber :camby: Michael Turnover Williams.

Otto is an underrated, really good player. The Wizards can't afford to lose him for nothing. Declining to match an offer even if its a max means you lose your starting SF who is the glue for one of the best starting units in the league. And he;s 24, and a trade piece.

I just don't understand these teams. At least it's not a multi year deal but $23 million for fukkin JJ Redikk?????

:deadmanny:

nikka they were 40m under the cap.........that money has to go somewhere bruh, its a one year deal. You acting like they trapped themselves with stupid contracts like mosgov and deng over 4 years :hhh: Sixers still have around 10m left to spend, BC might just give tell the owner to keep his dough.

Why do you have to sign anybody if they're not optimal? The Amir deal is whatever but I am SURE they could find a vet shooter for less than Redikk
salary floor

plus jj ain't some scrub, don't make me defend a duke player lol

one of the best SGs in the league, professional, and extremely consistent despite a bad playoff showing by a timeless choke artist duo led by cp3 and doc

there's clearly worse ways to spend 23 million a year... you making it sound like they paid deng or something

Reddikk is one of the goat high volume 3pt shooters in the history of the league and is only signed for 1 year...It's only so many roster spots...They bought in legit vets who can still produce.

These nikkas had all the cap space to put ACTUAL talent with this core and they've done the complete opposite of that :hhh:
Would you have preferred they use their cap space on giving Lowry, Holiday, Hill, Serge 4 year deals for $30+ mil when they already have Fultz and a point/forward in Simmons that's being groomed as the future?
They're building around their young core while still adding vets as role players to make them competitive this year. In a year or two if the young core plays to their potential they'll still have cap room to add and attract FAs to the team before they have to start re-upping their young core.
