This is the problem. People can warm back up to Warren, but not being Trump isn't enough to get people to like her enough to show up.

If "not being Trump" isnt enough reason to get you to the polls, then you are mentally impaired

He is literally the single worst candidate from either party since probably the civil rights era.

The problem is Clinton has near negative polling to Trump and in some polls people trust him more. Yes, sensible people know Clinton is more tolerable but the general electorate is full of idiots. And also people have disliked Hillary for years and it's not just some conservative conspiracy either.

I refuse to qualify my statement at all

Point blank, if Hillary's VP choice is the difference between someone voting or not voting, then that person is mentally impaired

Either unintelligent, unreasonable, or ignorant. They can take their pick which one they want to be

If the dem ticket is perceived as full on establishment then yes it will have a negative impact. You can't run on being the opposite of your candidate when you're not that hot either. All up and down state and local elections buffoons in both parties get elected, so it's not like it can't happen at the top. I don't want to risk a Trump presidency because the Democrats are so cocky of their demographic advantages that they run a corporatist ticket and think people will be enthused and rally to fight Trump.
Voting based on lesser evils never works that way.

I understand what you mean and if Mitt Romney was her opponent I would share your feelings

But her opponent is Donald Trump

This is not a "lesser of the two evils" problem. Im not even going to call Trump an evil.

What he is, is an indescribably unqualified and dangerous candidate. A man who literally has the potential of being the worst president of all time.

The scary thing is he could also be the greatest president of all time. That is how incredibly unhinged and unqualified he is.

1000 monkeys with 1000 typewriters typing policies for 1000 years would be about as predictable

At WORST, Hillary will continue the status quo set forth by Obama

I'm just going based on the polling. They are both pretty much disliked by a majority of Americans. I can't put my views of the elections on everybody else because they think different then me. To alot of Americans they're deciding between an outside guy who's widely unpredictable and hateful or the establishment that doesn't think the rules apply to them. All I'm saying is for the Dems not to double down on that by picking someone closer to her way of thinking and look for someone closer to the guy who has near half of the party on his side. I think a message of change defeats a message of not Trump to people who aren't as nuanced in what these candidates are really about.
