Same thing about Roy and Harden. He runs the offense better from the SG position than the point. You can have a high usage rate and have the offense revolve around you in a way at the SG position that mimics the action that a point guard creates but it typically puts the ball into action at different spots in the half court as opposed to your general point guard sets. Why? Because off-ball action early in the set to put them in their most effective spots with regularity are just more effective than them simply walking the ball up the floor and working from scratch. (dumbed down version)

Both of those guys ran the entire offense from the SG spot. Best quick example that a lot of people can draw from.

Russell will not be a traditional pound the ball PG on the Lakers. He and Clarkson will both be sharing point duties where Russell will be playing off the ball a lot as well. The positions are just titles with this Lakers team.

That's not true but I preciate you trying to explain it.

If Russell is playing the point on offense by bringing the ball up and initiating the offense and also playing the point on defense by guarding the opposing teams point guard then how can be possibly be the shooting guard?

Because he's the team main scoring option? Is that why you're saying that? Because if so then him being the number one option on offense is purely a coincidence

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Smart looked pretty good, he forced a few shots but no one else was able to create offensively so it's hard to blame him for that

Mickie also played well but there were instances where He was getting overpowered trying to get rebounds I would have liked to see him get

Everybody else showed flashes but overall disappointing first game for Boston

I guess Colton iverson bailed on us at the last second and signed overseas, he was probably going to be our starting center

How is it not true? Look at the Rockets and James Harden. Tell me I'm wrong. Harden runs that entire team's offense. shyt, Morey doesn't even want a real PG because of Harden :mjpls:

Peeped the Jazz/Celtics game earlier. Exum is what I thought he was last season, he's just an overall solid point guard that excels at the prototypical point guard skills, he makes the right passes, he handles the ball solidly, but ball watches too much off-ball and isn't aggressive with the basketball ever really which hurts him. He's like the typical high school point guard, doesn't really do shyt offensively other than runs the offense you give him. Does it well, but that's about it.
