He clashes with Caribou at Glastonbury later on this month. I don't wanna make that decision :mjcry:

Jamie xx album sucks.

Surf was a disappointment

Unknown Mortal Orchestra's album was the best thing released recently.

How do we feel about Phox? Lead singer's voice is fukking mesmerizing to me. and its just really good music

Also, having become a fan of San Fermin before they got a new female singer, going back and listening to the former singer...gives me fukking chills. Her voice is beyond perfect sometimes, and Sonsick is one of my favorite songs of all time pretty much. Not that I don't fukk with the new chick. She absolutely killed Jackrabbit. Ole girls voice was just beautiful though. Hope her solo act pans out. If not, hopefully I get my certs up so I can support her for the rest of her life :skip:

LOL. Well damn. The new album is what put me on. "Emily" is literally one of my favorite songs of all time at this point. But yeah, I might agree that the original album was better. The original female singer was better, but I still think the replacement has a gorgeous voice. Her on the eponymous song "Jackrabbit"....LOVE IT.

Any bands kinda like them you can put me on to?

In regards to my opinion about their new album, I'm not necessarily saying that I think its 'bad' in the literal sense of the word, I just think that they really took a step backwards creatively. Everything seemed more basic and comfortable. My tastes do not lean towards the basic and comfortable, so it is a doomed album for me. I like it when bands challenge themselves, and I think they did the opposite musically. The vocals are a whole other paragraph I'm not gonna bother with.

In terms of bands like them.....well, thats an easy one for me but unfortunately the bands I'm going to name aren't some hidden gems, but rather indie staples. I always said from the first time I listened to the debut that it was like they rolled up Dirty Projectors, The National, and Illinois/Michigan era Sufjan Stevens all into one. Musically it was Sufjan and Dirty Projectors, vocally it was The National and Dirty Projectors

This gave San Fermin a familiar yet unique sound. I don't know where else you are going to find a band like that outside of the 3 acts they 'borrowed' from. Its not every day that a classically trained composer decides to write an indie rock album.
