november is a long ass way.
I'm a huge Bond fan but I think this one is going to be a dud. SPECTRE was ass because they tried to retroactively tie all the Craig Bonds together and they are continuing this with No time to die. Add to that that they lost direction after quantum of solace (Skyfall was very well received and beautifully shot, but if you honestly look at that movie, it's pretty confused and plot holes are gigantic), that last movies of a Bond actor tend to be lacklustre (Diamonds are forever is mediocre, a view to a kill was terrible, license to kill was Miami Vice the movie and let's not even speak about die another day ) and that changing directors in the middle of a project seldomly makes for a better movie and my expectations for this are not very highI was actually looking forward to this one.
To be fair to the last point, they moved on from Danny early in the game. So it wasn’t them working and then he was gone and then they went into rewrite mode. The only thing I know that was happening for a fact, was set building.I'm a huge Bond fan but I think this one is going to be a dud. Yeah I'm not big into Bond anymore but this one looked decent. I guess they all pretty much look the sameI'm a huge Bond fan but I think this one is going to be a dud. Wolverine Origins leaked months before it came out without finished effects
Oh yeah I remember that
my biggest problem with Craig bond is we start off with a young reckless bond who needs to learn his way into being classyI'm a huge Bond fan but I think this one is going to be a dud. by Skyfall we've skipped all of the development it took to get him there and now he's too old to be bond
I know there were various production issues but that always bothered me.
I was talking about how Skyfall played up to that aspect.I don’t think 52 is too old to play a seasoned 00, just assume he did things in between.
Oh yeah I get that, I think some they rushed too because he kept acting like he was done playing the character so they sped up arcsI was talking about how Skyfall played up to that aspect.
Someone recently mentioned how Craigs Bond quits the service in every single one of his movies that just shows you how they completely lost track of what to do with his character and have him quit in every movie to artificially create depth. It's like the "this bond girl is a strong and indepentend woman and not like the other bond girls" gimmick they've been on ever since the spy who loved me.my biggest problem with Craig bond is we start off with a young reckless bond who needs to learn his way into being classy

Nah they did that because mendes wanted to tell the story of an older bond in a new world. I don’t think that was the right approach for that story because it wasn’t necessary. You could still do the idea of the 00 section being obsolete without aging up BondOh yeah I get that, I think some they rushed too because he kept acting like he was done playing the character so they sped up arcs
I think that has less to do with the character issue and more to do with the way the world has been post 9/11. The idea of bond being more traditional means the world is more traditional and it hasn’t been for a long ass time. Even in the books he’s a guy who doesn’t really love his job or what he does but he does it because it’s all he knows to do and he does truly believe in making the world a better place. But the world and the world order has been in disarray for a long ass time. Bond is always reflective of the timesSomeone recently mentioned how Craigs Bond quits the service in every single one of his movies that just shows you how they completely lost track of what to do with his character and have him quit in every movie to artificially create depth. Or it has to do with lazy writing which has been abundant in every Craig film except Casino Royale, but who really knows?I think that has less to do with the character issue and more to do with the way the world has been post 9/11.
