This is why you always have a car you're purchasing looked at by someone who knows about cars; most newer cars record the vehicle mileage in more than one place; the cluster could say one number, while another module could say the number is something else. The discrepancy may come if someone replaced the cluster and didn't reprogram the mileage; I've seen where people will swap the cluster out to report a lower mileage than the car actually has. Despicable. :scust:

easy. :sas1: Just do it before you get in services done.

The computers in cars now will snitch on you if the odometer's been changed, you just have to know where to look. Every modification or change written to the computer or if a component is stored in multiple ECU's. It'll even show the time, the date, the component, and the hardware/scan tool/Mac address etc of said component. Be careful out here brehs.
