Get the fukk out of here with that bullshyt. This young man was walking around with a realistic replica of an ASSAULT WEAPON. If you are a cop or even a regular citizen you don't know if that weapon is real or not. You don't know what his mind state is in this day and age.

And you emotional, liberal weaklings are sitting here telling me they should have walked up to him casually and said "hey lil buddy is that a real AK? :smile: ".....in this day and age where the criminals are getting younger and more sadistic? As far as i'm concerned for that young man think it was appealing to carry an assault weapon in public showed he had a mind state that made him a public safety danger or a potential danger later on in his development. No harm, no foul committed on the play.

Seems like the emotional ones were the cops. There's procedure to deal with this type of shyt. You get back up and you order the person to put the gun down. The fleck is all the training for if you're just gonna throw it out the window whenever a situation arises?

:wtf: If the cops are telling the truth he should have put the gun down. If he turned around and they perceived him to being a threat they shoot. This is not tv and his age dont matter.

Did the cop even TALK to the kid?!?!?!
If you read the story, he was given commands.
When you say 'kid', no one with their back turned to you can tell a 13 year old kid from a short adult male for the most part. Many 13 year olds have hit their first growth spurt so that they no longer could be mistaken for a midget. Unless you attended midget school, there were plenty of 13 year old kids who were as tall or taller than the teachers and staff in junior high/middle school.
So, you carry around a replica AK-47, not a Nerf gun or bright colored laser looking toy, and you are of the height of an adult male. What's to differentiate him from an adult male with a real MAK-90? The answer is nothing.

So he turns around, if it was an adult male with a real MAK-90, how much damage could he have done? If he was a trained MS-13 gangster or Mexican mafia dude with actual military guerilla training in Latin America, a lot.

The situation could have gone down differently. It's a risky situation to assume that a man with a rifle is actually a child with a toy gun. What to do? Well, they wanted to stop any possible problem immediately upon seeing this person walking in broad daylight with what appeared to be a AK-47. No one knows his intentions. So, they stop and get on the loudspeaker. I think they could have instructed him to not turn around and keep his hands up.

Out here in my damn drawls
True, because if they were something else, why would have been talking the boy down. "Just put it down, you don't have to do this, don't point it at us, son. I don't want to have to shoot you."

That's the exact scenario that went on inside my head :pachaha:. I don't believe for one second that the police gave him a chance to put down the guns :aicmon:. Yea, kid should've been way more smarter, but had he been someone else we all know he would've been talked down until they realized what was what.

But at this point, pointing out these severe double standards is really useless because our reality won't ever change

You going by the assumption they knew it was a 13 yr old kid. What cop talk like that other than on tv? Not the police here. They will straight tell to get fukk down etc.

So if he was 31, killing him under these same circumstances would have been ok :usure:? Even still, you have to believe that the police are telling the truth about how it actually went down in the first place :comeon:. No matter what way they ordered him to drop the weapons, anybody knowing that they had fake guns would have dropped them and at least yelled out that they were fake

I'd be damned if I ever gave the police the benefit of the doubt. Somebody got trigger happy and they are lying until proven otherwise :birdman:

@blacmanrhymer@raedawn07@Fatboi1 straight bytch made:what:

A 13 year old deserves to die for making kid decisions instead of ADULT COPS TRAINED TO DEAL WITH CONFORTATIONS SHOOTING AND ASKING QUESTIONS LATER:beli:

That is exactly the point. Cops have to deal with crazy people all of the time including kids who kill too. They don't know that kid's mind state and you can't afford to give someone the benefit of the doubt when your life is on the line. If you thought someone had a gun and didnt follow your directions, would you risk letting them get turnaround with the barrel pointing at you so you can ask them a question?[
