It wouldn't have mattered how much time they had to launch this website. If you've ever worked in Federal IT before you knew this launch would fail miserably. The majority of Federal technology projects crash and burn.

“Healthcare.gov was initially going to include an option to browse before registering,” report Christopher Weaver and Louise Radnofsky in the Wall Street Journal. “But that tool was delayed, people familiar with the situation said.” Why was it delayed? “An HHS spokeswoman said the agency wanted to ensure that users were aware of their eligibility for subsidies that could help pay for coverage, before they started seeing the prices of policies.” (Emphasis added.)

This was 3 years ago. :skip:

That nervous laugh of hers makes me wonder why she didn't want us to know what was in ACA before it passed..

I have health insurance too that doesn't change the fact that you have to get O-Care in the near future. My point makes perfect sense....you are claiming the traffic of millions being the reason it's blocked up, then there should be someone you know or I know that has it. So far no one I know has it or can get on. So you must know someone. Btw....it doesn't matter on if there is different prices for different people....I haven't seen a price or package period.
most everybody i know, self included has their insurance through their work so I only know 2 people who have tried very early on and decided they'd wait till the site was operating a little smoother, it's not like the deadline is tomorrow. And it does matter if there are different prices for different people in different states. It would be silly to give unimportant information, beyond silly actually it'd be counter productive. WHY give out unspecific information?

I'll wait to you find someone who has been on and got their estimate.

You don't need "hackers" to DDOS attack a website.
You just need to send ton of traffic there to the point the
website is crippled.
Something that would be relatively easy for a couple billionaires
to pull off.
Not necessarily saying that THEY are doing it, just saying
it's not that difficult.
Thank you

This shyt proves how little the general populace understand technology let alone the internet.

Dudes need to stick to Angry Birds on their iPad

What is lazy is beating around the bush about how many people you claimed are on the site signing up. We know it's less than you think.

I don't know how many people are successfully signing up, nor have I ever said I did. Now I did make an assumption that there were a lot of people TRYING TO sign up. From the article we posted we can see that it's 14.6 million unique visits, which TBH I'm not savy enough to know if that's an large difficult amount to handle given the process the site is trying to accomplish AND given the FAILURES (IMHO) of some of the design.
