and who determines whats fair? and how is it determined?

entry level jobs are not suppose to be a living wage... I dont know where the idea that you should be able to support a family flipping burgers came from but its silly.

Yeah well if you can find a way to bring to cost of living down I would agree. But that is not happening. The inflation will only ease up slightly when the "recovery" is over.

A note: I'm not a fan of simple responses as you well know. That entire "good" vs. "evil" dichotomy you drew up was something out of a George W. Bush play book. This is why you get people like JUSS HEDD on here defending Obama, your criticisms are devoid of critical reasoning half the time and are just knee-jerk reactions to "good" vs. "evil." I do grow weary of people on here who believe something, or want things to be one way and then do a 10 second google search to support what they believe is possible instead of actual research, and then get mad at me for pointing out as such. You're better than that, and you do it all the time too (and I know why, but I digress).

As for your SCOTUS question, all you have to do is search their decisions since the Warren Court ended. They've either empowered terrible legislative or executive decisions or they've scaled back progressive policies such as being able to hire individuals by taking into account past racism. They basically had a hand in ending many of the goals of the Civil Rights movement. They've even ruled that there is not a fundamental right to education which has allowed the piss poor system we have today in many instances. As someone who is a proponent of the "second bill of rights," I realize it is entirely impossible with this Supreme Court on the bench. But that's an essay before I'm off to work. If not the SCOTUS, the lower courts before you even reach that level.
The good and bad segment of what I said is something that I still firmly believe in and it does drive my political views. That being said, it is wholly subjective and I don't think I can break down my views on that dichotomy in anything less than an entire paper. Nonetheless, reading the rest of what you said, I think we agree. I think that the SCOTUS has been atrocious since the 80's however they still in my estimation cannot possibly have done anything worse than say Iran-Contra. However the idea that voting for Obama simply based on the nomination of a Justice is something I may have been open to (strictly philosophical basis, I'm a Canadian), and I've heard prominent progressives say as such. As for me googling stuff... :upsetfavre:

Just saying the track record speaks for itself. If anyone supported him then but doesn't support him now because of the NSA weren't paying attention and didn't listen...who's fault is that?

It doesn't necessarily mean military officials purposely target kids and innocent civilians. I wish innocent civilians weren't killed either but it's a catch-22, when you try to take the big fish the civilians become an unfortunate collateral and a casualty of war.

Didn't say it was a testament to his humanity, but your irrational thinking tries to percieve Obama as someone that just says "fukk it bomb anyone in the way!" when going after threatening targets. U.S. government officials said that Anwar was a senior talent recruiter and motivator who was involved in planning terrorist operations for the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda. If you are afraid you're going to get killed for hanging out with Al Qaeda and associating yourself with their operations, I'm sorry but maybe you should wisely choose a better group of friends.

I'm curious to see what you know actually since you think Obama refuses to pull a lever that will fix the economy. :usure:

What crimes could you prosecute/arrest them for specifically? Insider trading, money laundering, price fixing, fraud? Most of the activity the Wall street Bankers participated in that caused the subprime mortgage crisis and economic meltdown wasn't, in technical terms, illegal. Different levels of blame for the economic crash goes past just financial institutions, there were also regulators, credit agencies, and government housing policies that were responsible.

Nice to see how you pulled this entire thing from Change.org or some shyt :dead: If you knew anything about the financial crisis you would know that there was WHOLESALE FRAUD that has gone unprosecuted, don't attack me on points that you simply do not know the facts behind. Why don't you look up the Robosigning fraud, Countrywide, predatory-racial loans, "A shytty deal" and a whole host of other frauds that weren't even investigated.

As for the NSA thing... you have once again shown your falsification of the facts. The NSA director lied and said this wasn't happening. It is a clear and direct violation of the 4th Amendment, something I am actually not sure you are familiar with.

And as for your barbaric defense of the drone program, I don't even think its fair for me to dignify that ignorance with a response. Big fish? Hanging out with Al-Qaeda? Did you learn your foreign policy from 24? Get a clue.

I am glad you bring up this point because this is why I usually don't entertain discussions regarding Obama on this website. Everything has become so simplistic to where it's just either he is the devil or the messiah. I wish we could be critical of Obama without slinging mud left and right. You can't ignore all the good things he has done and give them no merit but then single out everything he has done you don't agree with and give them supreme merit. No President will ever be able to satisfy everyone, being that we have so many different views and expectations in this country. I agreed with some things Bush did and totally disagreed with others but I DID NOT discredit the relevance of his accomplishments because of any preconceived notions. God it's like listening to Fox News or MSNBC on here these days.

Who expected him to be a Messiah? This is a common defense of Obama, that he's not a Messiah... big deal. I expected him to uphold the constitution which he trampled with the NDAA and a whole host of other things. I expected him to uphold the criminal law of the land but his justice department refuses to prosecute bankers for CRIMES, look up the HSBC case. I expected him NOT to be a war criminal but he is undoubtedly one of the worst war criminals in power today. If you do those few things that everyone expected with any decency, you're a messiah? :childplease:

is it fair retired workers undefined pensions and health care fall on our laps when we're struggling?

Are you talking about public unions? I honestly dont know much about public unions or their pensions. But with non public sector unions, it doesn't work that way.

Your average voter is more concerned with popular culture and only votes every 4 years. That says more about them than anyone here, regardless of what side they are on. And it says a lot about you too if you condone it, as this post seems to imply.

im not sure what your point is but the reality is that people american presidents are fairly representative of the american public and that includes bush and obama, that is just an observation

my political views are center right so there isnt really any reason for me to be upset about obama

First off when someone points out an error in your post you need to with the I don't know what you're talking about crap. I am not typing jibberish. Assuming you went to higher education you should understand my point. That it is not really a good thing that most people don't care about spying. It's not a good thing more people are not involved in the political process. And as an aside, you're incorrect about Bush and Obama being representative of the public. It's the majority of the public. You should not barely 55 percent of people (and I am being generous) vote every 4 years. You seem to be okay with that.

what you are saying about voting isnt really going against what im saying, the point i was making is that people need to get involved in local politics in addition to voting every 4 years

as far as the 45% who dont vote, that is in issue but in a round about way not voting is voting, so whether they like it or not they are voting for whoever wins

and as for things like drones and nsa, the polls show the public is split

:aicmon: Why do you even try. You are a mixed race and you pretend to go hard on this site all the time. You are the biggest critic of other posters. Come on guy. Who are you fooling?

Pretend to go hard?? Because I'm mixed (I'm only 25% white), I can't defend my black people and call out the c00n brigade for their lame antics? Please.

Yes it does. It means I'm liberated from the influence of that tainted blood. I stand with my pure black brothers and sisters, recognizing them as my only family.

If you're part white, you're part white bruh. :smh:@referring to your "tainted blood." You got some self-hate you need to reconcile.
