I didn't say they needed to use the amnesty on Amare then, but it woulda been nice to keep it just in case, like Chicago is with Boozer.

Remember, as good as Chandler was in Dallas, he was a year removed from getting dumped by Charlotte and being accused of merely being a product of Chris Paul, so for NY to invest so much, that could have backfired. I'm surprised Howard Beck would word it like that. This is something i'd expect from Mitch Lawrence. To say it's a problem already is kinda dumb considering: 1) we actually have facilitating PGs this season, 2) that's what Amare needs & 3) Amare has already played well with Felton in the past.

The defense isn't worth mentioning as much anymore because we know wtf Amare is. His job is to score & we can't get mad when he doesn't grab 15 rebs & doesn't play lockdown D every time down the floor. You can hope that he'll provide the necessary effort, but to set that expectation is just not smart at this point.
