I have a step brother that was involved in the beating of a man for no reason (i would post link but i know better) --i tell him the same thing before he lost his job...

I see what you are saying but thier family/friends arent cops...they wont be put in the same situations so i dont know how i should comment on that

I understand it. I understand that there are bad police and bad policies that affect black/hispanics and the poor disproportionately.

But... most police do not go to sleep in that uniform and wake up in that uniform. Your argument would suggest that bad police are born & not created. This is just not true.

What are your thoughts on crack dealers in black communities? Do you have the same vile hate for them? The funny thing is... if this were definitely a crooked cop... I would still be sympathetic but at the same time the sympathetic feeling would fade quickly.

There is no evidence that he actually is a "bad human", he should be afforded that same sympathy.

Yea, the beating was savage but thats what can happen when you get into it with a savage individual.
Nobody here knows for sure but, from personal experience with police coupled with what ive read and heard about NYPD police, I believe that cop probably stoked dudes fire rather then asswaged it when they had whatever altercation they did. With that assumption in mind it basically boils down to him barking up the wrong tree. He was barking and the other dude was biting.
