Anyone with common sense could watch 18 year old Kobe 5 minutes in Highschool or his early nba games and see the raw skills and natural talent

RJ doesn’t have this or hasn’t shown it yet (cause he doesn’t have it)

Look up some old YouTube video on Kobe I’m not making this up.

that’s why Lakers and Jerry West traded for him straight out of college before he played an nba game

You probably didn’t grow up watching Kobe so you have no idea how good he was immediately :yeshrug:

12 teams passed on Bryant in the draft, and in fact the Lakers only drafted him because they were looking to trade Vlade to clear up cap space and Charlotte showed the most interest. It wasn’t until he won the slam dunk contest that people started to take notice, so while everyone knew he had talent, it is revisionist history to believe Kobe was the second coming that everyone had their eyes on. Again, Barrett is equally young and is highly regarded by scouts. It is too early to know for sure what kind of player he will be.

Idk how Mitch did it, but he might be the player that was most responsible for our success and the loss tonight. A couple of those goaltends were unnecessary and he should've known better. Particularly the last one that potentially cost us the game. Idk wtf he was thinking there

And all y’all saying “oh it’s just the summer league” nikka if he can’t score against bums and kids in the SL, things won’t get any easier in the regular season when he has to face vets at a stacked position.

Trae showed elite passing ability and how he could run a squad..just couldn't get the rhythm on his jumper.. from rj just getting but John Salmons vibes..Salmons was a good player tho

RJ gotta take this loss. Missed layups and had like 3 crucial turnovers down the stretch.

It's not about whether he can or can't score. His shot ain't falling. A lot of his attempts were either good shots or were preceded by good strong moves

So he’s shooting 6-30 on mostly good shot attempts? Against kids and bums? What makes you believe he’ll get any better playing stronger competition come this OCT/NOV?
