I think I can't count on my hand the number of homeless women I've seen in my life. Like for every one homeless woman I see, it's like 250 Homless guys

let's be clear. i didn't say all homeless people choose to be homeless.

you don't seriously believe that some of the homeless haven't made a conscious decision to their life that way, do you? there are many homeless that have safe and reliable long term housing available to them. they decide not to take advantage of it and instead live a homeless lifestyle.

consider the nyc cop that gave that homeless man his boots. turns out the guy is homeless by choice and has a history of refusing assistance. there are lots of homeless that fit this profile.

I think the real question is why you're so focused on what is clearly a minority of the homeless population as if they have some major impact on the economy. And the idea that aggressive panhandling is a major factor in people's decisions about leisure outing spending seems a bit far-fetched.

Hey,

You were using rat poison to feed the homeless at the soup kitchens you work at right? Do you think there's a correlation between that and the dwindling number of homeless?

:ohhh: Well I know that was a lie. That is your own saying not mine. I learned something new today....88m3 thinks NYC is a country.

Is that where you work full time? I guess you told them on your application what your hobbies were right? I hope you didn't lie that you don't troll in web forums.

Lol. I don't work at a shelter. You must have mistaken someone else for me last time you were in... Rat poison can do that, you know.

i never primarily focused on homelessness as a choice. the op took up that one part of my initial comment and made it a theme. if you go back and read my original post i mentioned a few themes regarding homelessness, how mental health and homelessness as a choice affected the homeless population. opportunistic tangents were taken, but it wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

as far as aggressive panhandling impacting the economy, it is a real issue and a concern in atl. how major of an issue it is can't be quantified. but if you've never been here then maybe it's hard for you to comprehend. there doesn't seem to be a good method of dealing with it while also addressing the needs of the homeless. but acting like it doesn't affect quality of life or business opportunities is naive. link

NYC is too expensive for those million homeless people. Nevermind "affordable" housing, they need to leave the city and seek their fortunes elsewhere. Homeless people should NOT have children.
