This is the kind of game the Yankees are....not particularly well-built for.
I've been saying for several years now that the Yankees aren't constructed to manufacture runs. They're either going on a home run onslaught, or they're gonna strike out 13 times and lose the game 3-1.
The Yankees are favored tonight and I hope playing at home, they come out loud and strong and score early to take the pressure off.
But the fact that Cleveland managed to even get to 5 games has to be a huge morale boost. I probably would expect them to be aggressive tonight (or tomorrow if it's postponed).
Obviously small sample but in this series so far:
Gleyber Torres: 3 for 16, 0 walks, 2 strikeouts
Oswaldo Cabrera: 2 for 15, 0 walks, 8 strikeouts, 1 HR
Giancarlo Stanton: 1 for 12, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts, 1 HR
You've got to put guys on base. This isn't going to cut it, especially if they advance to face Houston -- who are the favorites to win the whole thing now.
