We're the only people that try to group ALL black people in the world as one. We ain't ONE. Most of us don't have any influence over a single person in ANY other country.

and I hate how you act like black people are the only ones killing each other on a global level. There have been wars going on all over the world for an eternity, and a lot of them were white people killing white people, arabs killing arabs, or some other type of genocide. We live in a violent world, and if you think black people are more violent, then I think you've been white washed by the media.

Yes, SOME of the black community has a CRIME issue. And if it's a bunch of black people around then it's "black on black" crime. But white people have crime too, and so do Mexicans, and Asians, and they have crime against their own races. But you never hear anybody try to vilify their people by making it seen like they are the only ones killing each other.

It's gangloads of young hispanic dudes out here killing each other, it's just called crime.

we must hold the members of our own community just as accountable as we hold the cops when they commit violence against blacks.

blacks shouldnt get a pass for violence against other blacks. we should be equally if not more outraged at the black on black violence in our communities as we are about police violence, or white supremacist violence.

This type of incident is inevitable with the draconian measures that Bloomberg has taken in NYC. You cannot circumvent the Constitution and give police officers this type of unchecked authoirity especially when they are not properly trained in how to operate on the streets.

And as far as the off track discussion about black on black violencve; I think it is a valid and very necessary topic that needs to be discussed but would probably be better served in its own thread instead of here because all that will result from bringing it up in this thread is the online "shouting" match that we have been seeing for the past few pages. No constriuctive dialog is being created at all on the subject and it is just distracting.

The difference is when a cops does these things now you have to worry about someone who YOU PAY THAT IS SUPPOSE TO PROTECT YOU is seeing you as the enemy and makes your life harder than it needs to be because you have to watch out for the criminals and the police who is looking for a reason to either take your money with fines or put you into the SYSTEM WHICH WILL MESS UP YOUR LIFE IN THE LONG RUN or they they can kill you and get away with it whereas a criminal will get some time for that. You are basically living in a trap and one of the trap masters can do what they want to you legally and very little repercussions, if there is any, done to them. That is scary and is why it's important to speak out against them quick or NYC will really turn into Germany with the Nazi's. People forget that was a real situation that happened quick and Germans were well educated people so why wouldn't it happen in NYC now?.
