Black on Black crime which happens 97% of the time = nothing happens and nobody cares
A Cop, or non black person kills a black person = Protest time
i see a lot of yall attacking dude for his statement but he's absolutely right. black on black crime is a tradition in our culture to the point where the majority of the time black people dont say or do shyt about it.
in fact it has become taboo to speak on illegal matters in the hood even if innocent people are harmed (i.e. stop snitching, never snitch to the pigs, etc). and of course the hood mentality is not limited to only the actual people in the hood because there are young black boys living in middle class suburbia who wouldnt "snitch" because they heard it on a 50 Cent tape and watched in too deep too many times.
i am not naive though. i know there are also positive elements in the community who actively fight against black on black violence, and some orgs and individuals who even do so on a daily basis. but this is the minority. the majority of black people are unaware and unmoved at black violence and black suffering, it's like it has become so commonplace in our communities that we have simply gotten used to it. i see it all the time.
thats why i trip off shyt like this, or shyt like the trayvon martin case, or the oscar grant case, or sean bell. i would never disrespect the dead and all blessings to the passed, but nikkas kill each other everyday. nikkas kill other nikkas in hoodies (trayvon). nikkas tie other nikkas up and then kill them public execution style in front of the whole hood (oscar), and nikkas definitely have no problems putting 41 bullets into the next.... nikka (sean).
nikkas kill nikkas at a way faster clip than any other group is killin nikkas, but where is the mass outrage and mass awareness like you see in the trayvon case?
and before one of you confused revolutionary negroes have a heart attack in your daishiki really listen to what im saying. i am by no means trying to state that no one cares when blacks kill other blacks. i know there are groups and individuals who actively organize to fight black on black crime. but i am saying these people are in the minority. the majority of people are apathetic. and like bro said above, everybody is an activist in the moment but a week later the outrage is all but forgotten, life resumes, and the negroes have gone back to work.
when is the last time one of you negroes thought about sean bell? or when is the last time you thought about the black man who was murdered on the block last year?
or what about haiti... when is the last time we thought about those people?
or better yet lets stay national, when is the last time one of you people even had a THOUGHT about the people of new orleans, the victims of the hurricane, and the victims of the police gun violence there? if you go to these places now it looks like the hurricanes hit yesterday. do you negroes care? special military ops shooting nikkas and leaving 'em in the water, do you still care negro?
and let's go all the way with it... we have MILLIONS of our so-called brothers and sisters in congo, sudan, and other african countries right now getting CHOPPED THE fukk UP, displaced form their homes, no good food, no clean water, no medicine, cant go to sleep cuz im worried a soldier from a rebel army is going to sneak up on me and my family in the middle of the night and cut my fukking head off. and then hopefully i dont have to watch them rape my wife and daughter and then castrate their limbs afterwards. but wait, where is the outrage ******?
im gonna get some hate for this, but really think about what im saying.
we should have the same level of outrage for ALL acts of violence, not just the ones that are convenient. and that outrage must sustain until justice comes.
