LA is hot. If you want to be in entertainment, especially film or animation, it's the place to be. It ain't NYC though and it never will be. NYC is where Broadway, fashion, finance and the rest of the arts is at. The majority of book publishers are located in NYC. If anything, LA is even behind London and Paris.
