The blame is on this vile and evil republican governors, they are deliberately the cause of this crisis, gregg abott in particular, an evil devil. They are using tax payer funds and bussing migrants to blue cities like chicago and new york city, just to deliberately burden the safety nets and the resources and thus cause the crisis. The republicans are pure evil, using vulnerable people as pawns in a political game.
The blame lies on the shameless republicans not innocent helpless migrants fleeing torture and persecution in their countries.

I'm not a republican but this narrative reeks of politics. I know this is the common refrain from Democratic politicians and political operatives, but it doesn't address what I think is a valid question raised by these states: why should they be expected to bear the brunt of handling these people? Also, let's not pretend prior to this any attempts to complain or ask for help with this issue were either ignored or that was in turn used against them to portray them as inhumane by not accepting anything less than unrestrained immigration into their states.

I disagree they did anything wrong, especially when any mention of "fix the border/immigration issues" was seized by Democratic politicians to spout off self-righteous rhetoric.

This is why the Democrats fukked up making this into a political issue with morality judgements attached. But when these governors turned the table on them especially after Democrats preached their open mindedness, now these Democratic politicians are starting to sound a bit like the republicans lol. Democrats painted themselves in a corner on this issue and simply got outplayed. Now all the rhetoric about how awful it is and human trafficking is just sour grapes about being outplayed. Everyone can see it. Either they continue to suffer or eat the crow and start falling back on their "no one is illegal" like rhetoric.

It’s on thing if our streets were well paved, prestige and clean — and crime was super low along with safe and on time subways. And then it’s another if people had quality jobs and not constantly feeling the squeeze of high food prices while gentrification seems to steamroll the average native New Yorker.
