This is misappropriation of tax dollars. Those property taxes were intended to educate children in those gyms, not house randoms from a different country
In one of the videos, a mother was saying they waited years for the gym to get built- kids had no where to play in the winter time- and now, soon as it get built, here we go with the dumb shyt.

Now they talking about cutting city services to pay for housing migrants. Which will cost 4 Billion dollars by next year. Somebody is making bank over this debacle.

Neither side is serious about immigration reform.

This isn't "immigration". Immigration usually involves a formalized bureaucratic process with the state.

These people are migrants, some of whom are likely legitimate asylum seekers.

Immigrants, who usually legal channels to immigrate to the United States, shouldn't be lumped with these migrants (some of whom are not legitimate asylum seekers and are law-breakers)!

Far too many of them at this point.

Best to tax the living fukk outta them and discourage them from living in major US cities after a certain point.
I don't think that's necessarily true though.

At the current rates of about 5,000 per day, that's only a little bit more than one million per year. To put that in perspective the US population is what ? A little more than 300 million or so? So they are really not making a dent. That's less than 1/3rd of 1% of the nation's population in growth .

The real issue is that politicians are being lazy , so there's no way to process them. It's very similar to how politicians refuse to address homeless people, despite there being less than 700,000 of them in the whole nation, which is nothing in the grand scheme.
