While taking 100 shots per game
At 48% per game and with the garbage he's playing with maybe he SHOULD be taking more shots

So Dwight is garbage
Am I the only one seeing him look foolish in the post? Dude gets stripped a lot of the time and is only shooting like 50% free throws. Trust me, I am not a big Kobe fan and have always criticized him for his volume shooting, but I don't see how people can put the blame on Kobe for how badly the team is playing
Of all seasons to shyt on Kobe we're gonna do it in a year where he's averaging close to 30 points per game (if not 30) and shooting damn near 50%? I'm not a Kobe fan but some of you guys are getting petty out here
Kobe is one of the all time greats, and Dwight is an all time bytch, but it's clear from watching the Lakers in past years and especially this year that Kobe kills his teammates' joy on the court. It's no coincidence that when Kobe took 6 shots in the first half, the Lakers scored 60 points, and when he took 20 in the second half, the Lakers scored 45. He takes his own teammates out of the flow of the game. I've never seen Nash look so aloof for multiple possessions of a game. Kobe scored 18 in the 4th, no other starter scored a basket. That's not because they lack the "clutch gene," it's because the homie Kobe kills their rhythm and enthusiasm with his shot-jacking. Dwight is a homo, but he is coming off one of the worse possible injuries for a basketball player so he's not going to be 100% for a while. Nash is being wasted on that team though. I've seen him go several possessions without touching the ball once, which should be impossible.
Someone has to sacrifice to win. Look at Miami. Bosh and wade stats are lower than before but they win. Kobe should be averaging 25 ppg. If he gets his team involved they will win more games. It's like they know he ain't gonna pass the ball so they just stand there. I looked at the box score one day. Kobe had 38 points and 10 turnovers! Those turnovers are 20 points they could have got that turns into 20 points for the other team. That's a huge difference. If Dwight gets the ball they have to double team him which leads to open looks for others.
That's some bullshyt. Take last night for example. The Lakers were still losing as Kobe wasn't taking that many shots in the first half. Even in the second half before Kobe started jacking the team went like 7 or 8 minutes without making a field goal.
Now I do agree that Kobe is playing with a bunch of players that have different mindsets than he has. Gasol is known to be mentally fragile. Dwight's about having fun and getting along. Nash is about ball movement and passing. It's just a bad fit all around. Too many players that want the ball in their hands.
But for the love of God can we kill this narrative that the offense is the problem in anyway. This team can't stop anybody. Until Dwight can get closer to his normal health and cover up more of the defensive fukk ups the Lakers will continue being a bad team. They don't have the athletes to play the style that D'antoni wants them playing.
Steve Nash turned the ball over twice in a row, followed by an awful layup attempt..then Dwight loses the ball, then commits an offensive foul in the span of 4 minutes...Kobe had a right to chuck up shots last nightKobe is one of the all time greats, and Dwight is an all time bytch, but it's clear from watching the Lakers in past years and especially this year that Kobe kills his teammates' joy on the court. This. The D'Antoni hire is what did this team in. If Phil was there, A LOT of this would be avoided and they would unquestionably have a better record.
Pringles' offense is one of the main reasons their defense is so . The Lakers have an old and slow team, so what's the best strategy? Have an offensive philosophy of shooting a bunch of jumpers, causing long rebounds and easy fast break opportunities for your opponent.
Kobe is playing pretty efficiently this season, but he's jacking up shots like it's '06 again. This is turning into Shaq/Kobe part two with Kobe being Shaq this time and fukking up what could be a beautiful thing.
This whole season has been a disaster and I blame Jim Buss for all of it once he chose Pringles over Phil. That was the turning point and it happened in November.
