I knew trading for this soft nicca was going to be horrible. Kobe gives no fukks.
Kobe is one of the all time greats, and Dwight is an all time bytch, but it's clear from watching the Lakers in past years and especially this year that Kobe kills his teammates' joy on the court. It's no coincidence that when Kobe took 6 shots in the first half, the Lakers scored 60 points, and when he took 20 in the second half, the Lakers scored 45. He takes his own teammates out of the flow of the game. I've never seen Nash look so aloof for multiple possessions of a game. Kobe scored 18 in the 4th, no other starter scored a basket. That's not because they lack the "clutch gene," it's because the homie Kobe kills their rhythm and enthusiasm with his shot-jacking. Dwight is a homo, but he is coming off one of the worse possible injuries for a basketball player so he's not going to be 100% for a while. Nash is being wasted on that team though. I've seen him go several possessions without touching the ball once, which should be impossible.

Well said. The shot jacking he's doing is ridiculous, he's taken more shots than anybody in the league by a lot, it was 110 more than Westbrook and he's 2nd. He's actually making them with good percentages but there needs to be a good balance so everybody gets in a flow and rhythm and Kobe kills that. You add Nash and substitute Bynum with Howard, Kobe should be taking even less shots now but instead he's on some super alpha male type shyt this year.
They seriously need to cut their losses and trade Dwight. Hope Brooklyn will give you decent package. Try to recoup some of your draft picks, get a decent big that can fill in for Dwight but not need a ton of shots as well as a half decent pg that can give you some solid bench minutes. The Lakers would probably be better off for it.

Iverson got away with it for the most part because he was playing with scrubs that'd just play defense and he was depended on to put up points.
Kobe isn't playing with scrubs, he's playing with 3 all stars, Artest, Jamison, and to a lesser extent Meeks who all need shots too.
That's why clearing that logjam and getting rid of Dwight Howard is probably their best play right now for short and long term.
People talk about kobe taking shots but thats not helping the sorry bench, them not being able to defend anyone plus their coach has their PF out of his comfort zone jacking up 17 ftrs and 3s all game. Its more than just kobe shooting too much.
