Not a good look for the Bucks to quit Twitter. You know how much shyt Sasha gets thrown at her online and she eviscerates those marks without hesitation. Bucks just need to learn how to be a$$holes.

I’m surprised the Bucks of all people would do this, considering they more than any other wrestlers maybe ever were like the living embodiments of Internet trolls. These are the same guys who took being hit with cease and desists over the Too Sweet thing and made it one of the most successful independent shirt sales ever. Times have changed

They should’ve just ignored this, it would’ve blew over a lot faster.

This will be forgotten about soon enough, they’ll be fine. Take it as a lesson learned to stop feeding into the fans so damn much. Everything doesnt deserve a response.

Ok so I think I get you. I think most of us wants WWE to be better. They are most of our childhoods. They have everything in place to put wrestling as a whole back in the pop culture mix but they got rich and stopped trying. So we all hoped aew would be that company to kinda make Vince want to put on good tv again. So far all it’s done was get him another show on a major network.

IMO we are all watching the same shows, some of us haven’t jumped on the aew train yet. Because they got their wrestling fix already through wwe. And if you aren’t a fan of flippy shyt and “serious” wrestling then aew isn’t going to draw you in anymore than nxt is.

AEW isn’t going to have millions of people tuning in because they want an alternative. Athletic wrestling matches and the Indy style does NOT equal ratings.

To get people to watch you need to create compelling storylines and characters that will lead up to great PPV’s, then you can have your 5 star matches. Weekly shows should be 80% storylines and fukkery to set up PPV’s occasionally have really good matches for main events to mix things up.

but ultimately fukk the ratings, it’s an archaic way to gage interest. Scripted tv isn’t ever going to be big like it was in the past, there are just too many options

at least you admit that youre more in love with the WWE logo than you are with wrestling...…..which renders the idea of AEW gearing their product towards you to be pointless, don't you think??

you just admitted that you really don't care to support AEW regardless, but yet you still want them to gear their product towards your liking.

and the funny thing is, everything you want in a wrestling product is being done best in IMPACT. a promotion that you dismiss and claim that it hasn't been good since 2010, which is prolly the only year that you watched it. they easily have the best mix of wrestling with sports entertainment, but dudes like you refuse to support, due to the fact that you have a grudge against the company. the worse part is, yall really don't even know what your grudge is about. its just the "cool thing to do".

like we said, this alternative talk is all disingenuous. at least you admitted it, somewhat.

long post, but will say that some people online are being way too harsh on AEW about the terrible punches to end this week's show. yes it was terrible and a bad look, but shyt happens :yeshrug:especially when you're relying on a lot of bingo hall wrestlers who have never performed on a level of live, major cable television :yeshrug:

with that said, AEW's biggest problems IMO are these two things,

1. there are too many wrestlers/talent in positions of power and control
2. said wrestlers in said position are catering to the smart marks and not a mainstream audience

some may not agree with this, but talent like Cody, Brandi, Young Bucks, Kenny, etc. have absolutely no business making the main decisions. now that's not to say that they (along with EVERY wrestler) shouldn't have any say, but they definitely shouldn't be calling the shots. you have to have someone or a small group of those in power who are separate from the in ring talent to run the show if they want this thing to be successful on a MAINSTREAM level.

the smart mark/bingo hall/Japan-obsessed wrestling fans will always be there, but those diehard fans only make up of a few hundred thousand viewers at most.... and that's fine if TNT is perfectly happy with AEW only drawing a few hundred thousand people, but the reality is that likely won't be the case with TNT in the future. TNT is paying for all of the live production (which is rumored to cost around $400,000 per week) and if AEW falls below the 500k ratings mark, they likely won't even break even for TNT financially much less turn a profit.

IMO.... AEW needs to find a good 75/25 or so balance of how they cater to the audience (75 to mainstream / 25 to smart marks)... more stories, more drama, more sex appeal from the women, more selling, more cliff hanger moments ....AND less long/drawn out fake fighting from tiny male wrestlers :yeshrug:

there is a reason why 50-year old Chris Jericho's segments are the only ones to not lose to NXT :yeshrug:his promos/story telling are money

Smart marks want New Japan, with the Elite, on TNT. If you think AEW is even close to being that the you aren’t watching. The Dark Order is to try to get casual fans. They try every week to get those fans, regardless of what Cody said.

I think the negative reaction to Impact over the years is what may eventually cause AEW to suffer (may).

Impact hasn't really been terrible for years, in fact for the past 2-3 they’ve been very good but from the perspective they still somehow have that stench, that TNA stench and fans can’t bring themselves to watch it. If AEW continues to get shyt on heavily like it’s been this week it may be the same, I mean Black Announce Table have been shytting all over AEW yet they claim they don’t even watch it.

This nikka smh.... Look.

I watch AEW, I enjoy thier show, I even watch Dark sometimes I like Jericho and Cody's promos, I like the YB's and Luch bros, their matches are always entertaining
I like NXT I enjoy the matches and in ring wrestling,
I enjoy RAW and SD for the fukkery and occasional good match
I enjoy NJPW for the good wrestling, I went to WK a few years ago, it was a great time.
I used to watch Impact from like 07-08 to 2010, when I realized they werent going anywhere, the broken Matt shyt was dope tho, I did go back and watch that, but it didnt make me want to watch more impact

I dont need nor have time to try to get into MLW, NWA or impact, wrestling isnt the only thing I enjoy watching on tv, and im not watching that much tv to begin with

STOP trying to put me in a box, Im not anti flippy shyt, im not a wwe stan, I want the whole industry to be better,

IMO, The height of wrestling popularity has ALWAYS been when the wrestling and the fukkery was good.. The height of WCW was after the NWO, it wasnt during the NWA days when they had great technical wrestling matches.. fukkery creates ratings, its not that complicated..

Just cause I like fukkery it doesnt mean I dont like technical wrestling, I'M saying to really make money you need to have drama AND storylines, you need actual characters to invest in, no one cares to see a 5'5 145 lb guy fake fighting, when i can just watch UFC.. Im not buying into Adam Cole whipping no ones ass in a real fight, so you need a stroyline to make it interesting.......

lets not rewrite history.

TNA was catching hate from day 1.

they didn't churn out a bad product until like year 10.
they had a bad stretch via the Hogan years, and had about 1 or 2 bad years afterwards. the bad years are pretty much in the middle of their history and it accounts for less than a 3rd of their existence.

meanwhile, the WWE has been unapologetically & blatantly bad for the better part of 15 years and people still support it because theyre stuck on their childhood memories.

im just going by what YOU typed.

and youre proving my point with your "im not racist, i have black friend" esque rant, especially when you basically said, you watched a lil bit of TNA, then you threw it in the bushes the minute the quality dropped and you never looked back. that's the definition of a fairweather fan, yet you want these other promotions to cater towards you, knowing that youll drop them like a bad habit in a milli-second.

the TNA rant is especially funny, because you were in the IMPACT thread talking big chit. come to find out, you didn't really watch much of it and aren't even aware of the vast majority of their best stuff.

thank you for proving my entire point. THANK YOU.

also, professional wrestling has existed for since forever. nobody on here was even alive for the real biggest pro wrestling booms, and they weren't built off of f*ckery.

and btw, nitro was doing big numbers before the NWO.

The biggest period in pro wrestling was the attitude era, how old are you?
Why dont you start a thread and have a poll and see if the majority of the TSC watches wrestling as a athletic competition or do they watch for the drama and story.. WCW was doing ok before nwo, but the height of WCW came after NWO.

So I cant have a preference? I am a fair weather fan because I dont watch fukking Impact? like really? impact? Im fairweather because I stopped watching once the quality dropped? uhhhhh yea why would I keep supporting them if I am no longer entertained by it? Even during the good years it was never that good, so A fall off in quality when your show was only 3 out of five in the first place is a really bad dropoff.

I watched TNA during the good years, it was good enough to keep watching but it was never must see TV. What was must see, Aces and eights? Jay lethal doing a macho man impression? christian? Jeff Jarrett being the champ for like 5 years? I will say the knock out division used to be dope.

You know what maybe im wrong and its good to you, I wont knock it, but to me I'm not feeling the high school gym looking arenas, The corny indy gimmicks like Joey Ryan, ole boy that used to be in wwe Josh Mathews on commentary is horrible, Like who is their champion, Sami Callihan? like is that who is supposed to make me watch?

WWE fans chanted TNA at Vince sitting ringside during a ‘Donald v Rosie’ match. The “smart fans” loved TNA from when they went to Spike until the electric cage match. Fans gave TNA chance after chance when Dixie did her yearly reboot and millions gave them a chance when Hogan arrived.
