That’s one thing I think has only recently been picking up steam — AEW takes the most ill timed picture in picture and commercial breaks in wrestling history. They’ll cut to a break at critical points of a match/segment that is a major buzzkill

Yeah it’s annoying when AEW cuts to commercials during important moments. I get that they don’t want to follow the WWE formula for commercial breaks, but when they have Nyla powerbombing people through tables or Jericho clowning people in the hallway, they unintentionally show that’s it’s not important. it’s annoying when the minimize it. Gives the perception that it’s not important

I don't know because most of their booking so far has been all over the place. They start something & it ends in 3 weeks or it just drifts off into something different without any kind of resolution one way or the other. Their booking isn't cohesive at all & it seems like stuff is working on different timelines because the rushed into some stuff.

Cody seems like the one guy there that really looks at what he's doing & then you look at his run so far & it has the same issues.

Cody went from being in the Elite vs Inner Circle thing that seemed like it was going to be the overarching story of the whole company leading to a war games match at some point. Had his title match with Jericho where the idea seems to be that MJeff screwed him by throwing in the towel, even though he was caught in the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring with no signs of getting out, & then MJeff kicked him in the balls.

So he moved on to the MJeff stuff & got laid out by Wardlow so he's now out numbered for some reason. Then the Butcher, Blade, & Bunny attacked him & he's talking about all his friends being to caught up in other stuff to help him after he just left them against the Inner Circle. MJeff claimed in an unaired on TV promo that he paid for BBB to attack Cody, they cut a promo not mentioning that at all on TV saying their just tired of Cody being the face of everything. 2 matches in him & Darby already beat the BBB group, so Darby gets a rematch against Cody now.

Then to close the show Dark Order & the creepers attacked SCU & the Young Bucks so Cody ran in with Omega for the save & also got beat down. So it seems like their all on the same page again out of nowhere & the Dark Order has replaced the Inner Circle as the big threat.

So in the span of 3 months Cody went from building towards a war games match between the Elite vs Inner Circle, for some reason booked himself into the corner of never challenging for the world title again, starting an angle with MJeff where nobody from the Elite is helping him for some reason, in 3 weeks got attacked by a debuting team to beating them, having the Elite all decide to help each other again only to get beat down by a crew of jobbers, & setting up a rematch with Darby for Jan 1st.

Somewhere in the middle of all that him & Brandi split from each other on TV & now she leads a cult & he don't know shyt about it.

Cosign this a 100%...it's gotten to the point where I'm starting not even watching the actual show...the YouTube segments they post on Thursday end up sufficient...I can watch them out of order, miss some and it doesn't matter...seems to be no continuity between episodes damn near...random shyt week to week like family guy or something

Gotta let AEW breathe for a bit before rushing to call it a failure.

1) No one working there has ever ran talent relations or a fed before (being born to someone who has doesn't count) so it's trial by error for the most part
2) If the Elite won all the time, people on here would be bytching about them having 5 Jeff Jarretts instead of putting other people over
3) They need to cut the goth factions down to one instead of having two of them along with the tag team
4) They've quickly realized that pushing Britt Baker initially was a mistake and are moving her down the card. Same can be said for Riho who more than likely will be losing the title in February
5) Tag teams are taken seriously and given time to show out
6) Jericho is bloated and washed but he's been able to elevate others and is cutting the best promos of his career

There's going to be bumps in the road for a new company. If they're making the same mistakes by the summer instead of learning from them, then there should be cause for serious concern.

They're clearly still trying to find the right formula.

Remember the first few weeks when everyone complained about too much wrestling? Well AEW switched it up and are now doing more character stuff with promos and...everyone is still complaining so it'll be interesting going forward if they keep this formula or go back to a wrestling heavy show.

I don’t get why they want the AEW to fail, nikkas complained for years that they want an alternative, they got an alternative, yes they’re a young company going through growing pains but there’s still a lot to enjoy with Dynamite.

But dudes out here foaming at the mouth to pounce on AEW, Tony Khan gave Shawn Spears a stunner on an UNAIRED segment for the fans in Corpus Christi, not even a segment for Dark but dudes like “sEe aEw cAnT hElP tHeMsElVeS, mArKs iN tHe rInG, tOnY iS tRyInG tO gEt hImSeLf oVeR”.
