To be fair 18-34's have always been on the Showbuzz Daily chart since the site came out in 2014 :yeshrug:.

I'm just more amused by being told 18-49 was the only thing that matters since October 2019 & then this week it changed because of a random jump in AEW. The next demo that matters above all is going to be females 12-34 at the rate this shyt is going.

Ratings talk in general is hilarious because the people pushing it keep saying goofy shyt that they couldn't possibly know or contradicting themselves about stuff because their so blinded by their own favorites:heh:

I get Jericho and Khan going overboard with the ratings talk because it affects them directly, but Meltzer and Alvarez spout some of the most ridiculous bullshyt when it comes to the ratings and they don't work for either company(supposedly). Demos are only important if you have shytty ratings and desperately need sponsorship. The NBA has shytty ratings but they are sponsored by damn near every top company in Amerikkka, therefore a 1.3 rating doesn't hurt them nearly as much as 1.3 would hurt a wrestling company with minimal sponsors.

Meltzer started pushing 18-34 this past week to the point of saying Fox should drop wrestling all together or sign AEW based off them hitting a .2 for the first time since the first episode of March :pachaha:

He ignores that even with what Fox is paying WWE it's cheap compared to what they would be paying to produce original content that isn't going to run 52 weeks (& could be canceled after 1 season in some cases) & brings sponsors with them like Progressive who sponsor SmackDown since they moved to Fox. The weird hate for the very thing that keeps their business alive because they don't like their shows makes them ignore any context beyond looking at numbers & looking for any angle to make it seem like AEW is somewhere that they aren't yet.

And that's the main problem with all these "journalists" who think that shytting on WWE while praising AEW is good business. The fact that they don't realize that the WWE is the only wrestling company still mentioned in the mainstream is exactly why they can't go anywhere, because if they go then that's it for mainstream wrestling in Amerikkka. Just today on Undisputed Skip called Giannis's headbutt in the NBA game last night a move straight out of the WWE, he didn't say that the headbutt looked like something that would happen on Dynamite. Hate it or love it the WWE is still the standard in the USA and that ain't changing anytime soon.

AEW 18-34 (the new demo that mattered last week) for the last 3 weeks

July 29 - .19
August 5 - .29
August 12 - .18

It's almost like the dude pushing this shyt went full retard reacting to a 1 week bump out of nowhere because he has an agenda to push :jbhmm:
