South Park has never come close to how big it was in '97/98. A big reason the Attitude era succeeded was because it perfectly captured the late 90s zeitgeist with the trashiness. Vulgar stuff like South Park, daytime TV, nu-metal, Jackass, grossout comedies...shyt fit perfectly in line with all that. It's not like the storylines outside of the main event were some brilliant stuff, just fukkery that fit with the times.
my point earlier had nothing to do with shock value or whatever. It was all wrestling angles, but they were actually good. You wont forget Austin throwing the belt in the river 20 years later, you will forget MAN VS MAN match at no mercy

IS that what yall really want? WWE to be a representation of 2017??? Then wheres any angle involving anything thats happening currently in the world??? They dont do that. They are out of touch.
And ironically enough in this politically correct, "that was too far" world, Game of Thrones is number 1 on earth and it has mad disgusting themes and pushes boundaries all the time.
Wrestling when it was on top pushed the boundaries. Now its Stephanie McMahon making it soft as hell, and Hunter making it all about Meltzer classics.
