Now that the hype is completely gone, can we admit Kendrick Lamar doesn't have a classic verse

You just made a thread saying these are dope quoteables.

"pull up on you wit dem sticcs nikkas gone handle bidness" :ohlawd:

"took da stand on ya right hand man now u gotta die" :ohlawd:

"lost alotta real nikkas so i hadda cry" :to:

"nikkas clutchin on dem fuccin choppas everytime da fuccin door knocc" :ohlawd:

"auntie hit the dope said it made her fuccin jaw lock ":ohlawd:

"Bullets hittin kids while they playing hopscotch"

But now you wanna shyt on kdot. Nahhhhh. You just hate positive black rappers is the problem boy and you're infatuated with the thoughts of criminals and fake nikkas.

Yall wanna act like you lyrical miracle spiritual then start quoting boosie. fukk outta here

Expose Kendrick's wack bars by Quoting couple of amateur tier lyrics brehs

N when all else fails, keep making excuses of how positive kendrick music is...

Control
Keisha's Song 3rd Verse
Rigamortis Verse 2

Other than that though, it's actually kinda hard to name more. Kendrick is not really a verse-centric artist, he's more focused on crafting songs with simplistic storytelling and easier flows, but that's why his projects are fire and his raps are accessible.

Kendrick Stans Y'all....

The usual runarounds

I came from the era when rap lyrics being quoted like scriptures, so if yo shyt ain't stickin into ppl's ears you ain't an MC breh kill yo self.

Jay Electronica got quotables
Blu got quotables
Elzhi got quotables
Lupe got quotables

My point is..y'all just exposing how average that cockroach is...

Dawg Even Drake got more quotables than both of these average ass rappers (kdot, zzzzCole)

Jimmy Iovine & Interscope are the real MVP

None of them nikkas you mentioned have quotables. :mjlol:

Only stans could quote Blu or Lupe's lyrics.

Rappers that have a lot of words in their bars typically aren't quoted.

Twista isn't quoted but everyone knows he's dope

na u wrong the 4.0/4.6 was a quotable

"A gun in your face and that's all u can come up wit"

That's high school making me chase u round for month, have a affair act like an adult for once"

Not to mention a bunch of others. Kendrick just doesn't have the ear of the people like that to have everybody knowing a verse from him atm. Most of his biggest fans I know shyts on tpbf to this day. It really doesn't have replay value

Actually the difference is that you are relating things to when you were younger at a different time in life. When you are older and working that career, taking care of kids, the music doesn't have the extra to it that you are associating the Jay-z lines with. You are comparing your situation as a kid being into Jay-z now with you not feeling Kendrick as an adult.

You ask these young kids about Kendrick, Cole, and Drake..they quote em. They listen to their music, they follow everything they say.

Bruh I'm 25, I'm still serously in to this shyt. I'm still in clubs, parties and different events. Not to mention I work wit a bunch of people younger then me and some older also.

Nobody where I'm from is really feeling him like that. Please don't claim I'm not a fan of him, I'm in debates daily trying to defense his last album and nobody felt it. Nobody cares about it.

Kendrick doesn't have the ears of the youth like Cole and drake does. He is bigger wit critics tho(that's worth nothin to me)

Uh breh...those aren't Kendrick's bars :snoop:

Before you say that someone is getting exposed, make sure you don't expose yourself as extremely bias and jumped into auto hate mode just to call out 'Kendrick stans' :snoop:

Most young people I know, including myself love Kendrick :yeshrug:
And the majority of the ones I see that like Drake and more still respect Kendrick:yeshrug:

Let another rapper drop a song like "For Free?" and there would be a 30 page thread clowning them for it

But the internet's lord and savior "King" Kendrick Lamar?

"The imagery breh!" :blessed:

"This song reminds me of those jazz albums my uncles used to play" :wow:

"He's pushing the boundaries of hiphop!" :ohlawd:

A page has passed and no answer. Define what a classic verse is and give some examples of recent classic verses from the last decade plus.

Also can you name any rappers you consider good or great who do not have classic verses.
Jay Electronica has songs released in the last 5 years better than dude's catalog.

Not a better rapper under 30 doing it like k.dot :manny: been a stan since 2010
doing...WHAT?

I mean even 2 Chainz kills verses harder than Kendrick does most times. Big Sean? I mean come on. Drake?

Ya'll really on some co-sign shyt when y'all refuse to let the music stand on its own.

Its only cause he's on some "prison industrial complex is bad" tip that y'all eat all his shyt up.
