Now that the hype is completely gone, can we admit Kendrick Lamar doesn't have a classic verse

Damn. OP is attention whoring. Mowgli with that demonic kill.

@biscuitnbangers some of the quotables that people think from GOATs came way into their career. There are rappers who had quotables on their first album then went the rest of their career with none....
Biscuit bangers is an asap stan. fukk she know about lyrics. Any well dressed drugged out goon rapper in new york meets her approval

Jay had quoteables before that! act like everyone didn't know Hard Knock Life like word for word.:stopitslime:

The point is.. They made rememberable music enough music to stick with people that made people listen and force themselves to remember regardless of how lyrical it was. IE: Nas & BIG
Kendrick has how many releases? :comeon: It's not like he has only a mixtape and one album

Control
Keisha's Song 3rd Verse
Rigamortis Verse 2

Other than that though, it's actually kinda hard to name more. Kendrick is not really a verse-centric artist, he's more focused on crafting songs with simplistic storytelling and easier flows, but that's why his projects are fire and his raps are accessible.

Let me get this straight: Are you saying Kendrick has no memorable/great verses or that he has no "classic" verses. Define classic verse for me and give some modern (i.e. no Tupac or Biggie) classic verses from the last decade plus.

Normally I don't take this shyt seriously but I'm curious. Let's have a rap nerd discussion for once.

people make up the strangest excuses.

Now it's "Kendrick doesn't have enough material to have quotables?" :deadmanny: geez....

At the end of the day, Kendrick stans like Kendrick because of his image. It has very little to do with music. They'll sit here and make excuses about his music all day long.

This convo is gonna devolve into "Kendrick's not about the quotables, he's about the overall story/verses" :russell: I uncovered this deflecting bullshyt in my plat, revolutionary thread a year ago

Let another rapper drop a song like "For Free?" and there would be a 30 page thread clowning them for it

But the internet's lord and savior "King" Kendrick Lamar?

"The imagery breh!" :blessed:

"This song reminds me of those jazz albums my uncles used to play" :wow:

"He's pushing the boundaries of hiphop!" :ohlawd:

I stopped taking most posters opinions serious here when I saw most people on here shyt on more street rappers (well, until they get a co sign lol) to prop up cats like Kendrick and "back pack rappers"

This forum when it comes to hip hop discussion currently is equivalent to the corny white kids who used to talk that "hip hop is dead" shyt and shyt on gangsta rap and but dikk ride Immortal Technique and Atmosphere :mjlol:

That's what Kendrick stans remind me off
