This is a great take, Kanye’s actions are just amplifying how little power we have as a community in this country. Too passive, too forgiving and too divided. All bark and no bite is all facts
Whenever Black people need to unify and show POWER, there’s lost nikkas that want to police and divide Blackness through a colonized lense given by white supremacy.
Every single time you see the same divide tactics that hurt us.
• Colorism, featurism and texturism
• Too broke to represent us (capitalism worshippers)
• Too rich to be Black (equating Blackness with struggle)
• Not street enough (like that is sumn to be proud of)
• Arguing over Christianity / Islam / ATRs (when you can change your religion, but not your skin color)
• Gender wars (knowing COTDAMN well LOST NIKKAS on both ends have blame because of white patriarchy, but pretend that’s not the case and it’s a one-sided issue.)
• LGBT (like the Black ppl in that community magically don’t exist and face racism in and outside their community every day too)
• Ethnic/Culture wars (while African-Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Latinos and West-Africans all have unique valid cultures that have shared cultural aspects among eachother because we all came from Africa. Something that’s very clear if you make the essential decision to study the history of the Black Diaspora as a whole.)
LOST NIKKAS are too busy destroying our own power by focusing on the differences in eachother instead of the commonalities.
Like, are nikkas not TIRED of the divisiveness?!
That’s why WE don’t have power, where others do
We all
BLACK for God’s sake, SMH
