Notorious Thugs off Big's verse alone. One of the greatest deliveries ever.

Big's verse was only the third best on the track though.

Of course, Pac's verse was only the third or fourth best on his song as well.

Bizzy outshined both of those cats clearly, as did Layzie and Krayzie to a lesser extent.

I remember when the promo for The Art Of War dropped on BET.

It only lasted about 15 seconds, but they played a snippet of Thug Luv.

You just heard the gun shots and Bizzy going "PAC PAC" when the beat kicked in

:ohmy::mindblown:

That shyt was dope beyond comprehension

What do you mean he didn't accomplish what he set out to do? Is the song not Classic? well of course is it. Is Big's verse not Dope? Of course it is. Did Bone not admit he mimicked their style? Yes they did. So again Biggie was the one not in his element which is why he took the track home and worked on it cause he wanted to make sure he got the flow down. There is no way Big had "The Weakest" Verse when most rap fans talk about his verse most when discussing the song. Big dying had nothing to do with what Bone said. They like most of Hip Hop was in complete shock hearing Big spit the fast flow like that. Nobody expected that.

They admit he mimicked they style but that's just acknowledging the obvious....originally u said Bone said Biggie killed them.....they didn't say that shyt, they said he killed the song,I knew them bone nikkaz wuznt crazy....they murdered that shyt and Layzie wuz drunk as hell...Bizzie slaying both these nikkas needs to be recognized fully....chumps been givin Jay hell for years for Renegade,Biggie took his verse home and still couldn't overcome Bizzy,Krayzie arguably Layzie.

Ironically this wasn't the 1st time Big worked with Bone. They did "The Points" on "The Panther" soundtrack from 95. Big had the 1st verse and Bone went last. 15 Emcees rapped on the song. It's a Classic under-rated posse cut:

They admitted Big Killed his verse on their style. Put two and two together. Big was the one that was doing a different style than his own. Bone was again Bone, they sounded like they do on all their songs on "Notorious Thugs". The fact Big took the chance and succeeded with a great verse is why he murdered them on their own shyt. With "Thug Luv" they just said they loved Pac and his verse was hard. But with "NT" they flat out said "Big did our style and killed it".

You can not honestly believe what you posted? Its fine if you like the other song better but be real man.

Tupac was off beat than a mf and his verse don't even compare to bigs

Both tracks are solid but notorious thugs had more buzz when it hit the streets in 97 I think its the better song of the two and bone sucked on both songs

XXL's: The Making of "Life After Death"
13 “Notorious Thugs”
FEATURING LAYZIE, KRAYZIE AND BIZZY BONE
Produced by Stevie J. and Puffy

Puffy: Big understood how important the Midwest and the South were at that time. He loved Bone Thugs. Being that he really liked melodies, he really liked Bone Thugs.

Krayzie Bone: Puff just called up one day while we were out in California, “Come by the studio tonight.” So we went. As soon as we walked in, Big was like, “What y’all eating, drinking and smoking?” It was a shock how down-to-earth he was. nikka used to floss in his raps big-time, but when you met him he was a real humble dude. There were a lot of things that he wanted to know about us and about our flows. He just wanted to know how we came about doing our style and how we did our vocals. He was watching us do our parts like, “Goddamn, y’all nikkas are crazy.”

Layzie Bone: I came with a couple ounces of herb, and about 15 minutes into the session, Biggie had it in his hand [laughs]. I’m like, “This nikka just gangstered me for my weed!” But I ain’t say nothing because it’s cool. When Biggie did our style, that’s when Bone received respect for our shyt. It was like the whole industry never gave us our Ps. But Biggie was telling us that whole night in the studio like, “Y’all just came in and laid it down so fast. Y’all nikkas are amazing.” He was marveling off of us. And we telling him how much love we had for him.

D. Roc: That dude Layzie was passed out in the truck. Like they ordered a case of Hennessy, drinking it by themselves. He was drunker than everybody and everybody was like, “This nikka is gonna fukk up our whole night.” When it was his go, I went and tapped on the window. His face was on the glass—slobbing, knocked out. I tapped. He walked straight out the car, into the booth, did his verse in one take and went straight back into the joint and passed out again.

Stevie J.: After Bone Thugs went in there and ripped it, Big took it home for a minute. He was like, “I ain’t laying mine. I got to wait. This style ain’t what I’m used to.”

Lil’ Cease: The Bone Thugs shyt, nobody could be in the room [when Big was recording his verse] for that. He really wanted to sit there and master that shyt, ’cause he knew he was about to do something different, and whatever came out the studio was gonna be so, so new.

Bizzy Bone recently talked about working with Big and Pac:
