Players are using Houston and their salary cap as leverage to force the hands of those players particular teams to ensure they get the deals they are seeking. Unless 2-3 players are conspiring to join forces in Houston. Doubt it though

I don’t disagree, his immaturity has been a huge flag so far. I do believe if he stayed in shape he probably could have played last 2 seasons. But even then I am going to be delusional enough to say he's 22. You get those two in playoffs with Herb and Trey, that's just a very good 4 that I believe in. All you need is one year to strike hot. Unless Pelicans believe he's like Lonzo where he can just never stay healthy, then I understand but I hope it isn't for maturity reasons even if I think he needs to grow up.
