Don't know if this was true or not. But apparently the owner didn't wanna pay too much for him. Add that with Beal preferring phoenix more..
They're losing key players for their Finals run, Miami going to have find more diamonds in the rough when they could have just committed to Beal and got the solid scorer they desperately need.

this is a shytty off-season…bunch of mediocre ass players getting ridiculous fukking payouts
Well the beal deal was the big one, harden upcoming

Really portland and charlotte ruined the season IMO because one of them should've been able to finesse new orleans for scoot and that would've set the table really well for whichever franchise that did it, while simultaneously making NO the "league pass" team of the year.

Now we got scoot butting heads with Dame and Charlotte likely picking in the top 5 again next year..

1.) He got more in two years than was reported he was being offered for four.

2.) Max Strus just got 4/$64 million. Brown will have money waiting for him in two years somewhere.

1- No one ‘reported’ anything close to any of these deals, so it’s highly unlikely any of that was accurate. 24 hours ago Bruce brown was headed to the Lakers on the MLE.

2- Says who? Todays price ain’t tomorrow price. 2016 deals were nowhere to be found in 2018. Also again he can play himself out of that or be phased out. Also there’s a team option after ONE year :francis:

That benefits that team but my point is that it doesn't benefit bruce. I think he played himself. Pacers basically gave him that contract to build draft capital, but bruce himself will be sent to god knows where and he might not be no good for them, all of the sudden your in FA next year assed out
It's essentially a one year deal, and double what he would have gotten paid by anyone. Bruce made out like a bandit and get a better situation next year. He didnt lose at all

He probably won't finish the year on the pacers and he'd have to ball out on the mystery team he plays for at the end of the year while remaining healthy in order for them to pick up the option.

It's great if everything goes well, but it's unlikely. He's setting himself up to be out of the league if you ask me.
